Daybreaks Diary!

It certainly felt more like Autumn today, can't believe we are already half way through October! It won't be long until Santa is here to visit us again! Xxx We were a little short of volunteers for walking this morning, so our residents had a short stroll around the sand run followed by play time in the runs. Xxx Thanks to Diane and our young DofE volunteers. Our gorgeous lad, Larry went home with his fab new Mum. :)) It was the first time I had met Larry today. He is very small for a boy, weighing just over 26Kg. He is a happy chap, he loves to lean and have lots of cuddles. Xxx Wishing him a very happy new life? :)) We had a delivery of goodies from Iceland today! Thank you so very much to Phil, Rio and Ella's Dad and his work colleagues for arranging this for us...we received lots food and treats for the dogs, cleaning products and biscuits, tea, coffee and sugar for everyone to enjoy. Our residents enjoyed hotdogs for lunch today! We are so grateful for everything, you are all so kind. Xxx xxx This afternoon, everyone enjoyed a walk, thanks so much to Jan, Jayne and Jess. Xxx Jess took Bess and Jess which got very confusing! :)) Erik came in today for one of his free behavioural consultation sessions. There will be another one next month...if you are having a problem with your Greyhound, please give us a call and we can arrange for you to have a chat with Erik. Xxx Our boys and girls were tucked up in nice warm Fleeces before we left tonight. :)) We have some really lovely dogs with us at the moment. If you think you can offer one of them their forever home, please give us a call and arrange to come and meet them! Xxx

Larry's so far been a good lad not eaten much yet doesn't appear too stressed but early days. Seen small dogs and a cat was fine muzzled obvs. Thank you for being so kind to us both today xx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
If anyone would like to meet the lovely Josh(y!) Please do give daybreaks a call we can arrange a time for me to bring him over xx He loves zooming around and playing with his kong ball so he'd be made up to come along and we can book him some time in the sand run xx Joshy continues to do really well, socialised really well the other weekend when we had people over for lunch. Josh is very nervous about and around children so, I echo Ruth's post. Not for homing with children. Continues to be very well mannered and very house clean, loves his food and walks so well. Josh's tongue falls out his mouth when he shakes his head, he doesnt realise for a while and it is very funny!! Quite often when we are walking along!! xx

I miss this baby girl so much I can't stop thinking about her she was there evey morning àt the bottom of the stairs to say good morning waiting for her breakfast then having a lovely cuddles then it was walking time this girl loves to be loved and the more she gets the more she will give back I do hope someone will love her like I did whoever gives her a chance won't be sorry they did

Hi there is it OK for me to pick Larry up on Saturday and if so what time please? I'm pretty sure that Ian his trainer said he'd already been neutered but he did mention something about his teeth. I have got next week off though and I'd already booked firework week off as Pip needed to be walked and behind the sofa by 5pm. At least there's no fireworks at Rainbow Bridge xx

Fleur went off to her new home today with her greyhound brother Sammy. She spent the day in the office yesterday as she was a bit quiet after her spey on Tuesday and was so well behaved - she is such a sweet little girl.

I took Jess to Fivelands this morning for her spey. We always get a sample of urine to check they are fit for surgery and unfortunately her urine was too dilute to proceed. Therefore we will take in another sample next week and see how she is doing.

Lol! So Larry arrived at the kennels with Monty and May about 11.30 yesterday. We popped their slip leads on and brought them in and Marie spotted Larry and fell in love! Larry seemed equally attached to Marie! Wishing both of them a happy life together. Xx
