A little Maggie update, she is so lovely and has settled into our home really well. She is a huge support for our autisic son, and is bringing us so much happiness. We are starting to really see her personality now and she's a funny little lady. I'm so glad we took a chance on her!

Ruby's owners contacted me early this morning to say they would like her back as they regretted the decision they had made yesterday. As she had arrived yesterday seemingly unwell, I had told her owners that I would examine her and found that she was very tender in her tummy and pain when extending her back right leg, along with weight loss. I arranged an urgent appointment and she was seen at Fivelands and an x-ray has been arranged. Her owners have taken her for her x-ray and we are awaiting for the results. We are hoping it is nothing serious. Her strange behaviour could be related to her being in pain and we hope this can be sorted.

Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Really lovely day yesterday as I was able to spend lots of time with the residents instead of stuck in the office. Pan, Ruby and Robin went to work with Rob at Morrisons to promote themselves and Daybreaks…. A job well done to all the volunteers two and four legged for all their dedication. A returnee always makes us sad but we applaud those who are brave enough to contact us if things aren’t working out. We are always there to support as it’s our job to do so. I hope Ruby’s owners kept to their promise to go home, have a cuppa and cake and stop beating themselves up x hugs all round x On a lighter note I had a corn clinic and helped several greyhounds with corns and in addition I was ‘Dr Pimple Popper’ with a ginormous lump on a grey that the vets had suggested surgery wouldn’t be possible!!!! Obviously for those that know me it was the highlight of my day!

Thanks LadyVictoria! Just so folk know; Josh hasn't been returned from foster for any problem, we have a few things happening personally which would have been unfair to Josh so had to make this decision. Daybreaks have been so supportive of this throughout. This little boy has been the most beautiful house guest. The house is too big without you Joshy but we had a chat didnt we and you know you are loved and will continue to be. You have made such wonderful progress, and you really started to relax and trust us. We're so proud of you. Long may it continue. Seeing Kate settle you back in was lovely and reassuring. Cuddles xx enjoy being back with all your buddies. I'd be more than happy to help with any questions too 🙂

Joshy is back at the kennels after being fostered by Hannah and her family. We are so grateful for everything they have done for him. He really is a lovely lad who would be much happier if he could find another foster home....or even better his forever home. He doesn't do well in a kennel environment.
