Daybreaks Diary!

It was a busy day today.... We had our third new arrival this week, a very pretty girl called chick. :)) On Tuesday we welcomed Penny and Toby. They are all lovely dogs. Do hope they will soon find their forever homes. :)) We had a visit from former Daybreaks resident little Ginger and her Mum and Dad. She came on the bus. :)) She went home with a with a new snug fleece, ready for the winter! Xx We also saw Padfoot and his Mum Carol this morning, he had a pamper. :)) Of course Padfoot made sure he had a good Greyhound lean on everyone! Xxx Many thanks to Alan and Declan for going to the warehouse. Xx iIt was great to see Stacy today, a volunteer since she came along as a very young DofE student and is now in her final year at University studying to become an animal Physiotherapist! Xxx On one of the afternoon walks, she was approached by a gentleman who gave her a donation of £10...he explained to her that when his dog was very ill and needed a blood transfusion, his life was saved by blood donated by a Greyhound. :))) What a wonderful story! We are very grateful to the gentlemen and so happy for his dog! Xxx Thanks so much to everyone for your help today. :)) Xxx

IMPORTANT NOTICE SUNDAY 12TH NOVEMBER Due to illness, the Trustees are having to close the kennels to the public this coming Sunday 12th November. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and can assure everyone that the dogs will be taken care of throughout the day. It will be back to business as usual on Monday morning - thank you for your understanding. Angie x

REST IN PEACE HENRY When God looked around his garden, he found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. And so it was that he put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be so beautiful because he always takes the best. He saw how rough the road was getting and how hard the hills were to climb so he closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be Thine". It broke my heart when I failed you and I know I lost the right a long time ago to call you mine but in my heart you will always be a little bit mine and if I still feel the same after only 7 months with you then God knows what Mark is feeling after 7 years. My heart goes out to him with thanks that I can never ever repay for loving this very special boy. And so whilst it breaks both our hearts to lose you, you haven't gone alone dear Henry because a little part of me and a massive part of Daddy went with you the day God called you home. Seana xxxx

So good to see this rehoming photo! Well done beautiful. Such a cutie. What greyhound doesn't have a new giant catapillar toy, our Penny does on her bed right by the radiator in the living room. They are so fun!

Gal went home today! :)) She left with a brand new wardrobe. As you can see from her homing photo Pink really suits her. Xxx :)) She has a new name too! I think Gracie really suits her. :)) She had more presents waiting at home for her, including a giant toy caterpillar. :)) Wishing this special little girl a very happy new life with her lovely new Dad! Xxx
