Smokey is a star... so beautiful. Kind. Gentle. He was slightly nervous when i first put his lead on to go in the sand run but when i took it off and he knew he could gander round on his own... off he went!! Good listener too...

This absolutely gorgeous little girl arrived today - she retired as she broke her hock which is not causing her any problems currently her trainer tells us. She is very affectionate and her trainer says she will happily have cuddles all day!

Shirley has been really busy today weed clearing and tidying our car park! We have lots of pots which just need some plants to cheer the place up! If you have any plants you can donate to make our place look pretty please get in touch! Also, green fingered volunteers are always welcome too!

Once again, at present Robbie is our only boy left at the kennels who is still waiting for his forever home. 🙁 He is a super friendly lad who needs someone willing to work with him and help him learn how to enjoy going out and about without getting too excited. He is a fast learner and with the right family will be a lovely boy to have around. Xxx

Socks was a truly wonderful girl, always purring and loved cuddles. She used to "help" you to fill in the feeding notes by sitting on the page you were trying to write on. :)) She also took great delight in waiting for you to clean one of the litter trays and then using it straight away! :)) Xxx Good night and God Bless you sweet heart, you will be missed so very much by us all, especially your best friend Tyke. Today the new owners of Penny came in to sign the paperwork ready to go off to her new home on Wednesday. She spent several hours in the office after this, happily asleep on a bed under the desk! We had a viewing for Babe and the family have gone away to think about adoption. Socks, my beautiful cat who was part of our Daybreaks Family sadly passed away on Saturday. She had been instrumental in helping us find many homes for greyhounds with her amazing temperament. She will be missed massively. During her illness I took her home. Because of this Tyke also came home with me temporarily and she has come out of her shell with her new companion Casper who is a wonderful boy who has been used to living with large dogs. I am just on my way to see Magic who was rehomed recently to help his new owners with a few settling in issues and then tomorrow it is an early start with Buddy off to the vets for his dental along with my Tiggy Pops who had surgery on her toe last Thursday and Maisie who belongs to one of our volunteers is also having a check up following her foot surgery on Wednesday last week. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who have helped today - I couldn't do it without you all! x
