2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
A day of mixed emotions...we scattered Peggy's ashes on Wispa's grave this afternoon. So sad to say goodbye to a little girl who should have been looking forward to a new life in her new home. Thank you to everyone who came along. Rest in peace Peggy. Xxx The family who had reserved Peggy visited the kennels today and chose Fairy to become part of their family. :))) xx We had visits from Hector who had a lovely time in the sand run and Star who has been in his home a good few years now. He wasn't impressed to have his nails trimmed! It's always great to see ex Daybreaks residents, to see them looking happy and obviously very much loved never fails to cheer us up especially on sad days. Xxx We had two new arrivals today....both reserved before they crossed the threshold! Mother and puppy, both adorable have been taken home tonight by a special couple who I'm sure will add their own comments when they are ready!! Xxx Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. Poor Shirley and Richard only "popped" in this afternoon but ended up helping with dinners! Bless you! :)) Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
It was fffreezing today! There was no white stuff fortunately, so it could have been worse! Ruth took Scarlet off to the Vets to be speyed first thing, and the boys & girls enjoyed sand run playtime. We have started Jet on a special diet, I think he has a food intolerance or sensitivity so we are taking the "elimination" approach to find out what it is. I am quite excited as I finally get to put my Canine Nutrition qualification to use!He spent some time in the office this morning and he seemed a lot happier to have company, I took some photos which I will pop on the Facebook page later, and of course one of them is now my screensaver. Hope we can sort his diet out and get that tummy settled. Quite quiet for visitors, although ex resident Wolfy brought his Mum & Dad along so he could have his nails clipped. They say he is an absolute treasure and they love him to bits. We tried little Miss Genie with the cats and she did very well which is great news. Josie has recovered well from her spey yesterday and is bouncy and happy. When I went to get her & Daisy from their kennel for dinner this afternoon, they were both upside down with their legs on the air!! It seemed a shame to disturb them, but the mention of "dinner" soon had them the right way up!! Thanks to our Friday afternoon walkers who took the dogs for a nice long walk - everyone nicely wrapped up against the cold. Ruth collected Scarlet from the Vet this afternoon and has taken her home for a sleepover. We have left the doggies all snuggly in their kennels tonight, underbed heating on and radiators on in the blocks - it is much warmer than my house and I am seriously thinking of moving in!! As it is Friday it is of course time for a glass or two of wine, and a wish for forever sofas for our beautiful boys & girls. We are scattering the lovely Peggy's ashes in the memorial garden tomorrow at 1.30pm - please do join us if you can. Have a good weekend one and all - and keep warm. Angie x

How lovely to see Boss is on his way to a new home - that's what helping at Daybreaks is all about and this is the best bit when they go to their new life 🙂 He's such a beautiful boy and deserves his sofa 🙂 xx

Hector
I’m Homed
I went to see Hector this morning as his new mom wanted to take him to be weighed at vets and he was refusing to get in car... We went through a few techniques, but when he weighs 39kg.....its not as easy as others we deal with. Lol. X
