Keeping my fingers crossed that our lovely Jet will find his home soon, he's such a cuddly boy with lots of love to give. He needs some help socialising but if you're willing to put the time and effort in you're going to gain a best friend like no other, all the volunteers at the kennels adore him and that speaks volumes surely 🙂 xx

We couldn't wait to say hello so we called in to see Stanley this afternoon. He has wasted no time in getting his paws well under the table. He's such a happy lad and already adored by his new sister Alice and his mom and dad. He could not have wished for a better home we are so happy for him. Paddy and Spritz will be saying hello on our morning walk xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

A very different Sunday today than last week. Lots of volunteers meant cleaning and feeding were done in quickly. Some lucky residents were lucky enough to be taken out for a trip to the park. All others left behind that could go on a walk did so. We also saw little Josie reserved, she is such a poppet and bundle of fun, she does love her cuddles, bless her. Rory popped in for a pamper, so lovely to see him. I had a call this morning from Stanley's new owners asking if they could collect him today instead of tomorrow. He has a lovely new family and a gorgeous sister too. He will be so spoilt, and is living very close to Paddy and Spritz, I am sure they will be meeting up regularly and visiting each other. However, this afternoon was a different matter. The wind really picked up and we didn't want to risk taking the dogs out on their normal walking route as it is tree lined. Never mind Mary Poppins, it could well have been Mary Puppins! Thanks so very much for Ruby Rebels dad Nick for taking all the dogs out one by one into the safety and security of the sand run. The two gazebos out back by the kitchen area and covering the tractor decided they wanted to relocate themselves! We managed to return them to their rightful positions and hopefully secured them....and breathe. It turned bitterly cold again, so after supper all doggies were left tucked up with their heating on. Here's to another week with hopefully more reservations and homing. Now I am going to try and get my feet warm!

Took Frankie out on a walk to the park today and he was an absolute star ? Allthough other dogs caught his eye I was able to maintain his attention mostly and get him to walk on by quite easily. He then gave me a lovely cuddle in his kennel afterwards, hope he finds his forever home soon.
