2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Happy New Year and thank you so much to everyone who has fostered one of lovely hounds over the Christmas holiday. We were expecting two or three dogs back at the kennels today but....they have been reserved! Which is fantastic! :)) Lecky was due back tomorrow but she too has been reserved and instead will hopefully be helping her foster Dad to fill in her adoption paperwork!:)) Sue brought our little pussy cats, Socks and Tyke back from their Christmas break. We are very grateful to her for taking care of them for us. Xx As we didn't have any dogs to look after this morning Angie and I did some spring cleaning! 🙂 Jetson came back later in the afternoon, he had our undivided attention! Bless him. He was so good in his foster home. Xx We have run out of shelf space in the kitchen as we had such a lot of donations of fish, meat and treats for our residents. We are overwhelmed by everyone's support, not just at Christmas but throughout the whole of 2018! Thank you. Xxx Xxx

Would like to say I am surprised! However, when lovely Lecky left the kennels to go out on foster, we did say, "if she plays her cards right"! Well done lovely and thanks to your foster Dad. Don't forget to tell your Dad to get a FFP t-shirt when he signs you up officially! X

Well things were looking rosy for Spritz She has been appointed PA by Paddy paws to help write his blogs & to keep his menus, walk times etc in check However Spritz slipped up yesterday by booking him a holiday cottage in Bude for June & included herself! Paddy was a bit put out by this & is reviewing her contract! Lol (Sad face Spritz) x x :))

Thank you so much to clairelbob and family for giving Jetson a fabulous Christmas with them. I know how much they wanted to keep him. Holly seemed quite taken with him too, especially as he didn't mind being bossed around! Hopefully it won't be long before his forever home comes along. Xxx

Just wanted to sing the praises of our lad. He's coped so well with the transition from kennels to home. He's joined our family at the busiest time of the year (two birthdays plus Christmas, meaning lots of visitors etc). Couldn't be happier with him. Xxx

Jetson
Over the Rainbow Bridge
It was with a very heavy heart we had to return Jetson today after his Christmas holiday. He really is a fantastic dog and if our circumstances were different we'd keep him like a shot. He is so friendly and loving, just likes to stand with his head resting on you, his tail doesn't stop wagging. He has got on perfectly with our girl, Holly. He has been clean in the house and knows to ask to go out for a wee. He loves to start the day off with a quick game of ball, even brings the ball back to you!. He has met dogs, horses, bikes and even deer on our walks, the only things he really reacted to were squirrels but even then it was just a good look at them. He has settled and slept well at nights and again woke us up of he needed a wee. Whoever ends up giving this boy a forever home will be one very lucky family!

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Hello, can I just check if you're back open today or tomorrow? as I'd like to drop a donation of blankets off (which haven't had a lot of use and I've washed them) and also purchase some burns dry food before going away tomorrow if at all possible. Would be grateful if you could confirm and let me know the times you will be open. Thanks. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy 2019! Lots of love and success for another great year of rehoming - I moved to Birmingham in April last year and remember taking my greyhound Delilah to one of your Elmdon Park Walks - I promise I will start again this year. I am absolutely heartbroken, I received a message from Denise telling me that her beautiful little shining Star gained her wings and crossed Rainbow Bridge this morning. She will be greatly missed on Wednesdays at the kennels by us all. Sending love and hugs to Denise and Charlie Cheesecake. Shine bright gods newest precious Angel. Xx
