2019 Daybreaks Diary!

A lovely bright sunny day, if a little chilly. Was strange to have the kennels so quiet when all the dogs went to Brueton Park. Thanks to everyone who took a dog. Poor Ben and Teddy had to stay behind as Ben is post op and is not able to go on a walk yet, and Teddy is still on shorter walks, he came into the office for a change of scene and managed to steal biscuits! There has been some interest in Nick, fingers crossed., he is such a lovely boy. Honey found herself reserved, whoo hoo. This afternoon saw just Bella and myself at the kennels, we were kept busy with a steady stream of visitors and a couple of nail cuttings. As we left I went to start the car and it wouldn't start, my son ended out having to come and jump start it! Anyway, home now and I would like to thank everyone again for their help and support, it is very much appreciated. Xxxx

Liza
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Liza came with me to Brueton Park today. She jumped in the car really easily and settled after just a couple of minutes. She was very excited to be out and even more excited by squirrels. There were several occasions when she ended up with just her back legs in the floor as she tried to follow them up trees!! Ten out of ten for enthusiasm! She is quite interested in other breeds too but did calm down as walk progressed. She just needs time to get used to life after racing. She's a pretty little thing xx

We took Bella out today on the walk and then on to the food festival. What can I say, We are in love with her. She got on so well with our 2 girls(Foxy and Luna) and walked lovely on the lead after the initial excitement had passed. If it wasn't for the fact she is already reserved we would be taking this little girl right home!

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Just back from holiday and so sad to see so many beautiful black boys still waiting for their forever homes. I wish I could have them all. They give so much and ask so little in return. Just a comfy bed,and a walk or two a day. Oh and in my Fat neck Finn's case be the owner of a food factory, preferably one that makes sausages lol So let's hear it for the boy's next week, you'll be spoilt for choice.Maybe you have a little lady Grey looking for love. Well I hear Roary gets on well with the girls and my Nina gave him a kiss when we called at the kennels, and she is very choosy lol

Duke came to visit us today. 🙂 He looked fantastic and was such a happy boy! He came to choose himself a winter fleece and have his nails trimmed. His owner told us what a wonderful lad he is. It was great to see them both. Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

A very busy day for visitors. 🙂 Jess had several pampers. It was great to see some of our past residents. They all looked and smelt lovely after their baths. We also had visitors to meet the dogs and a gentleman came along with his young son. They helped to groom some of them which the dogs loved, especially Brandy who had a good lean and would have happily stayed there all day! 🙂 Thanks so much for everyone's help today. It was a good walking day. 🙂 Xxx

Today I have had 2 new names! This morning while on my walk I was known as 'reluctodog' - why I can only guess. We went to a wood and I was scared so I insisted on walking behind mom, right behind mom. It was full of wolves and bears, I had to be on guard all the time. Even the sight of a squiggle didn't temp me out. We walked for hours and hours before finally exiting, phew, onto a normal path. A short while later we went into another wood, it was lovely I saw a squiggle and forged ahead of mom and TC in a pioneering manner. I would have walked round that one for ages but sadly we exited it and returned to the car. Strange thing though - we exited to the car through the same gate as we stated the first walk through - there is magic in them woods! Now I am called 'diggy diggy', again this makes no sense to me but I had a lovely afternoon rearranging the garden where mom and TC had planted something earlier. Lubs to all. Florence xx

So glad Fifi is home, after Archive spent 6 weeks away he was very skinny and we gave him coconut oil with his dinner we are doing it again at the moment with Jato, just 1/2 a tea spoon in their dinner makes a difference. Xxx
