Mannie 6 July 2006 - 2 August 2018 It is with great sadness my Brother Chris and his family had to let their wonderful Mannie go to Rainbow Bridge this evening. He really was the most perfect lad. Chris has two daughters and Mannie was his Son. Indeed he answered as much to " Son" as he did to his name! If ever there was a dog who chose his family it was Mannie. When they came to look for a Greyhound to adopt, Mannie knew exactly what he was doing and followed Chris around the small run not taking his eyes off him. There was no way he was going to let them choose anyone else!! Xx There is another Greyhound angel tonight; he is the one with the lovely big ears! All of our family will miss him terribly. Mannie, run free with Twiggy and Stan. With love from us all. Xxxxxx

I was very sad today to hear about big Charlie. Heaven has gained one very big and special star far too early. I have very fond memories of Charlie my first favourite hound. I still have the photo's of our lovely walk at Stratford nearly 4 years ago now,how the time flies. Through Charlie I became a regular Daybreaks visitor to see him and later we adopted Paddy. He was a true gentle giant in every way and will be sadly missed but never forgotten. RIP big lad,so sad you have crossed rainbow bridge far too soon xx

Such sad news, but at least Charlie had the gift of a home and left this earth as a beloved pet who will always be in their hearts. So here is my Grey's prayer for all the boys and girls still waiting at Daybreaks and everywhere I awake each morning, hoping today is the day, That someone kind will take me home to stay. If love is the answer If love is the key Can anyone out there spare some for me.?

So sorry to hear Charlie has left for Rainbow Bridge. I remember him and Daisy setting off for Spain in their amazing transport and am sure hue enjoyed every second of his life there. Lots of hugs for his family. Run free Charlie. Xx

Leo is a very big, handsome boy. He came out with me and a friend along the canals and to a beer garden for a couple of hours today. He jumped in the car with encouragement and travelled brilliantly. He settled as soon as he was in the boot. He walked beautifully and despite being very interested in the various smells, maintained good manners and didn't pull. Along the canals he met a medium sized dog that did bark and growl at him. He took it all his his stride though and didn't react. Once we got to the pub, he found a nice shady spot and stretched out for a snooze. He was pleasure to take out . A really striking boy, who probably won't be at Daybreaks for long xx

Following ones morning constitutional in the divine surroundings of Brueton Park accompanied by the delightful Mss. Florence May and her chaperones T. Raymond Esq. and Mrs. K. Raymond during which we exchanged pleasantries with those we passed,I have returned to Hotel De Elmdon. One retired to recuperate and partake of a light lunch before indulging in this afternoons treatments in the excellent and well equipped spa. Barney Gumble Esq.
