What wonderful news, I'm so pleased he's turned up safe and well, I couldn't get to sleep last night thinking about him - his family must have been absolutely frantic. I'll bet he's getting lots of cuddles today! Mand x

Oh Pete, my son wanted to come home with you today after bringing another pooch back that we had been fostering. You were our 2nd choice but we weren't sure if your poorly tail would be ok here with my 3boys & 2 dogs. Lovely, lovely dog-if you meet him youll see what I mean.

I was one of the ladies that helped with Pete at the training class on Monday, it was great to be able to help out. My daughter wanted to foster Pete but I don't feel it would be fair on Buddy or my chihuahua! I am sure he will soon find a new home, he was very good on Monday and loved his treats.

Ah, such a shame for the boy. Glad that Tigger is ok, it must have been frightening for all concerned. In no way are you letting Pete down, you have given him a try and have shown that unfortunately he can't live happily with cats, but that in every other way he is a star - that is great for potential rehomers, it is the sort of "inside information" that really helps get the dog find the right home. His forever home is out there, and now we know so much more about him too. Take care. xx

We sadly had to take Pete back to Daybreaks today. Pete had a incident with Tigger the cat. Pete was muzzled and Tigger is ok. When we began fostering we agreed we would only foster if it did not cause too much stress to our current family. Despite following all of the guidance, the same we have done with all of ours greys and foster greys, feeding Tigger first, putting her first in the pack, using the water spray, sadly it did not work out. I'm devastated as I feel returning him I have let him down. He is such a wonderful boy he is so full of life and his tail never stops wagging. I took Pete to Sally's training class last night, he was really well behaved and took it all in his stride. 2 lovely ladies took turns in training him and he responded really well. Pete was quite a hit but sadly no one was in a position to offer him a home.
Pete has had no accidents in the house. He walks wonderfully on the lead and for a cat free house he has so much to give. I'm hoping some of information we have posted will help to find Pete a home. Ruth has my number and I'm more than happy to talk to anyone about Pete and the time we have spent with him. Sorry boy, I hope your forever home is just around the corner. X

Pete, I am so happy that you are having a lovely time in your smashing foster home and are being a good boy. Clare & Jim - well done for giving this beautiful boy a taste of home life, it certainly sounds like he's taking to it really well. Look forward to the updates on him - all the best. x

As Jim said we fostered Pete yesterday. He is a lovely boy I can't believe he hasn't been spotted yet. He has been clean in the house overnight and when we went out today.
He is brilliant on the lead and walks right by our sides.
The T.V fascinated him to begin with and he watch it for about 20mins. He is now used to it and sleeps through it. He does not seem nervous and likes to come and have a nose at whatever we are doing.
Pete has learnt and is responding to leave it with Tigger the cat, going near the oven and when we are eating which is great as he has only been here a day.
He has developed the sweetest habit. Josie one of our greys was on her bed today and when Pete lay down next to her he copied her exact pose. Louis our other grey is on his bed now in a completely different pose to Josie's earlier again Pete is behind him and is copying the pose.
Pete loves a fuss behind his ears, he has a half a tail that always seems to be wagging and he has stunning markings. If day one in foster care is anything to go by he will make a brilliant addition to someone's home.

We brought Pete home for fostering today, so far he's been very good with the cat and had a good sniff around everywhere. He's very friendly with our 2. It's his first time in a home so as you'd expect he's very excited and interested in everything but he doesn't seem nervous or phased by any of it. He's now settled on a bed in the lounge with the rest of us

David had a fuss of Pete when we came to kennels last weekend and I've never heard a greyhound's teeth chatter as loudly as Pete's! He is a really gorgeous gentle boy. I want him!

Met the beautiful Pete today - he's gorgeous! His funny, stumpy tail wags in delight when you talk to him, and he walks very nicely, he particularly liked walking alongside Maggie, a ladies man indeed! He's a big, handsome fella! x
