Flo (Tulip)

female, 14 years old, White and Black

Added by Emma-Rae

Updated: Monday 08 Jan

Tulip is a happy active girl who loves playing with her toys so would benefit from a home where someone would play with her. She can be left throughout the day but she likes company (either with another dog or human!) and has a big personality her trainer tells us. She is toilet trained and very affectionate.

Flo (Tulip) has had 0 cuddles today (14 all together).
If you register or login, you can give her a cuddle too!

I have had Tulip at home with me since the beginning of June. She is the sweetest little girl. She is totally house trained, good with mine and sleeps well at night. She can be left throughout the day with no stressing (I have watched her on the cameras linked to the house) but she does like the company of another dog. She is great on the lead and getting much better meeting and greeting other dogs.

She is at home with me because she was so very stressed at the kennels. I am desperate to find her a new home as I am worried she is getting so used to our routine. If you could possibly offer Tulip a home, please please give me a call. She is a very happy affectionate little girl and would be good with older children. Unfortunately she is not cat friendly.

The lovely Tulip came on the Stratford Walk today not much to report other than perfect perfect and perfect.I have taken many dogs on the walks and she is perhaps the easiest most chilled one I have taken out.Walks beautifully on the lead, very happy in the company of the other dogs, not responsive to other breeds today though did look at a rather noisy Jack Russell with disdain.Settled well in the car enjoyed the breakfast Ruth sent with her (chicken and sausage rolls!!!) Very pretty and affectionate girl who really did enjoy being out and about by the river today. I think Mrs Boswell has trained her well it seems she is now house trained and can be left and is learning some very good manners. This beautiful girl is looking for her very own home preferably before Ruth goes away on holiday in about 3 weeks time. If anyone thinks they can offer Tulip her very own home please pop down to kennels to see her or give Ruth or Kate a ring.

Tulip spent the day at mine again whilst I was at the kennels. I have cameras to allow me to view my dogs at home and she virtually didn't move all day! She does get excited when it is walk time but is good on the lead once out. She is very excited at my chickens and ducks and as she can't get to them she takes it out on her toys instead - throwing them around and loves the squeaky ones! She is totally house trained - she hasn't had one accident and can hold herself all day - in fact she had to be forced to go out when I got home!!! She loves running up and down the stairs but we are trying to stop her doing this due to the fact that she has been limping due to her old injury which she retired with. Aimee - she is 100% a little rascal!!!!!

She is going up to the kennels again today but sadly doesn't show her best side there as she is quite stressed and wanders around panting and barking :-( I really hope someone falls in love with her soon as she is adorable x

Little rascal
Well I don't think i have enough space to write all about the quirky personality and cheeky moments this little lady has. Carrie (now known as Tulip), loves fuss and attention. She also loves the company of other greyhounds. Shes very playful. She would often grab the end of my sleeve if i was putting her back in the kennel, and try pull me in, as she wanted to play some more. She could get a bit nippy at your finger tips first thing when i'd let her out of her kennel, but thats just exictment and as soon as i crossed my arms she soon learnt. Shes a very clever girl. Even when she was injured she still wanted to play around. Shes such a character and any home that has her would never have a dull moment in it, especially if she had a little friend to play with too :).
Good luck little rascal xxxx

I love Tulip too after meeting her on Sunday (she and Dingo were leaning on each other during the walk). Just wish I could talk hubby into the fact that two greys are better than one. Hope she is feeling better soon, she gets my hug today. Xxx

Tulip has come home with me tonight. She seems a bit under the weather. Her temperature is slightly up but I also want the vet to check her front leg as she retired from racing when she broke it but she is still limping..... always better to be safe than sorry..... she has just scoffed an extra bowl of dinner and is wagging her tail happily with all ours - think she is enjoying the company :-)
