It is with a very heavy heart that I have to post this message. On Thursday 8th January 2015 Nina crossed the bridge. She was very weak on her back legs, had a tumour growing on her shoulder and numerous other medical issues associated with her age. We thought it best to let her go..she was tired and needed to sleep.
She may be gone from our lives but she will forever live on in our hearts and memories.

Just an update on Nina progress. She went back to the vets yesterday and he is really pleased with her progress. Her infection has cleared up and now we just need to rebuild the muscle strength in her back legs so shes not so wobbly!!
She will be going in to have her dental work done in the october half term so i can be at home with her while she recovers.
She is adorable to have around ,loves her cuddles and kisses and has settled in well with the rest of our menagerie.
Love her loads!!! :)

We bought Nina home yesterday afternoon and introduced her to our non-greys. ie rough coliie and 2 mini dachs ,she was amazing and didn't seem bothered by them at all . The cat was greeted in the same manner and then finally she met the rabbit and again she was fine.
We took her for a stroll around Arrow valley this morning in the sunshine and she even managed the odd wag of her tail.
She is a lovely,, quiet dainty little thing and she has already won a place in my heart!!!
I have emailed a few pictures of her so you can see how she has settled in.
Thanks Ruth for letting us have this little lady and trusting us to care and love for her....we promise to do our best!!!

Nina is doing so well.... she is so quiet and gentle - she just potters around, has her meals and sleeps! She is clean in the house and great with mine now she is used to being in a house with 6 others! She has a check up on Friday 13th and if all is ok she will have her dental the following week. She is adorable - I would love to keep her but unfortunately the Boswell house is already full....... Thank you to those who have donated towards her care - it really helps x

Nina's tests today revealed pyometra (The term "pyometra" refers to a potentially fatal condition in which the uterus becomes infected and gradually fills with pus if left untreated) however as she has been to the vets - this can be treated with high level antibiotics.
After a check up in 10 days, if she is doing well, she will have the dental work that she desperately needs. Her blood tests from today show that she is a very fit girl for her age which is great news.
She had a very quiet, settled night at ours with no accidents - she is a pleasure to have. If you would like to help with her vet bills, please click the donate button on her page - every bit really helps and I am so grateful if you are able to support her veterinary fees x

I have brought this gorgeous girl home with me. She arrived this afternoon after we received a telephone call asking us to take her as her owner had had a stroke and was unable to look after her. Kate kindly went to fetch her whilst I dealt with Con's homing. I took her to the vets on the way home as she has a history that she has been bleeding for the past 6 weeks - this could be a season but it is quite rare for an elderly dog. She is therefore having a scan and if all goes well, they will proceed to removing the remaining teeth she has as they are sadly in a very poor state.
She arrived at ours and ate a big bowl of dinner and promptly fell asleep in our hallway. She is a delight to have and I am keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow and will keep you posted as to how she is getting on. I love her to bits already x
