I was at the kennels when Barney first arrived and from that moment I took a shine to him, so just sitting in his kennel with him two Sunday's ago and having a little chat & a cuddle, was my privilege. It's fantastic news that he's now going to be rehomed and I wish him and his new family every happiness.

Aw Barney's getting a home! My Dad took a shine to Barney when we came to visit my Flo and they were sharing a kennel, he'll be pleased he's reserved - we can stop telling him what a great addition he'd be to the family now!

I bet that news made his ears shoot up- well done barney xx

Barney has been on the Stratford walk today and Auntie Ruth said can you give him a nice write up as he is desperate for a home of his own.Well here we go.
The pictures on the website don't do him justice he has a beautiful black coat covered in little "snowflakes".
He is one affectionate gentle giant who just loves to lean in and have his chest rubbed and ears tickled.
He walks beautifully on the lead and has enjoyed walking alongside all the greys and lurchers today.
He travels well in the car and quickly settles once he has had a good old look around.
He was interested in 3 off lead beagle type dogs but responded well to Brian who kindly walked him today.
He enjoyed the many treats given to him especially the sausages and had impeccable table manners.
I can see why Barney is a favourite down at the kennels he is a big snuggle monster and he really does not like being in kennels.When it is time to go in he firmly plants himself down as if to say why I am I still here all I want is a home of my own where I will be loved and where I will return the love by the bucketful.
If you are looking for a grey please don't overlook this big,beautiful black boy-he is happy,laid back and has so much to offer you.Look at all other comments about Barney and you will see what a star he is.
PS I forgot to say he has a really long thick tail and amazing ears.

As a new volunteer at the kennels I took my 'maiden voyage' down the country lane yesterday, escorted by the beautiful Barney. What a gorgeous boy he is and such a gentleman. He seemed to enjoy his walk, striding out (without pulling) and was so well behaved. I'm still at the 'I want to take them all home' stage. Does this feeling ever change I wonder!

The gorgeous Barney is keeping Autumn company, and they had such fun yesterday playing with some squeaky toys. He is such a character, that rogue ear just has to do its own thing!!!!, but he is so friendly and affectionate. Keeping fingers crossed for you my sweetheart. xx

Had the pleasure of meeting barney on friday- what an absolutely charming young man he is -he came over straight away for fuss and kisses infact he was so keen to say hello he just barged straight in front of judy- the look on her face said it all.

Barney you look so happy in run next to the kitchen so nosy seeing all coming's and going and you have lovely Judy for company xxx

We had the pleasure of taking the lovely Barney to the show today. He was a good boy in the car, although decided he just had to stand up all the way so he could see everything through the window! He was so well behaved all day, fine with the other breeds but a little excited by the very small dogs, although he was even getting used to them by the end of the day. He is a calm and friendly boy who coped well with the strange sights and sounds of the show, and enjoyed some well deserved treats on his day out. Fingers crossed for you my lovely big boy. Xx

I adore this boy. He really is a gentle giant with the most amazingly big, long tail!!!! He is such a good boy and completely ignored the barking Labs at the farm whilst out walking today. So friendly and quiet, I really hope he finds his very own forever home soon. Big cuddles sweetheart. Xx
