Just to let everyone know that Teazer or Tessa as we call her - new name new start, is doing very well. She has had a holiday in the Lake District with hubby and Alfie and thoroughly enjoyed herself and now she is home with Alfie, Penny and Bella. Our challenge is to teach her to accept our 2 cats, because although she tested cat friendly for Ruth, she is a little keen. We love her dearly and feel very lucky to have her.

Wonderful both Teazer and Surprise left the kennels on the same day....I am sure Sarah arranged it for them. Xxx

Met the lovely Teazer again yesterday and today. Such a lovely character who does not act her age, loves being fussed as well as cuddles and kisses and gives loads back. She absolutely deserves a new sofa and a loving family xxxx

Gave her a big hug this morning, such a lovely girl and so sad about the circumstances in which she now finds herself. As owners of these beautiful dogs perhaps we should all give some thought on what we should/could do if this situation arose with our own pet. The older the dog the longer it seems to take to find a new home, yet Teazer still has a lot of love to give, as do all the oldies that come back to Daybreaks. If only I could win the lottery it wouldn't be an issue, I would take them all. It might mean that him indoors might have to find another place though!

Very sad news for the family. Rest in peace Sarah, Daybreaks will take good care of your beautiful hounds. x

Oh my giddy aunt!! Not one, but TWO beautiful older ladies :) If anyone is on the fence about taking an older dog, id advise dont think twice! Do it! They are very, very special, and the love you share can not be put into words.
