Star's family called today to tell us their wonderful lad has gone to Rainbow Bridge. He passed away suddenly and they are completely heartbroken. Xxx
Star has always been a firm favorite with everyone at Daybreaks and has been a regular visitor since he found his perfect forever home. When he was in the kennels he used to share Sara's lunch...and I know she is taking care of him in his new home. He was such a very happy boy and I shall miss seeing him so much. Thinking of his family and sending lots of love to them, God Bless your lovely Star. Kate Xxx

well done Star. So glad to see that red sign. However, I do know someone who is going to be very disappointed when they return from their holiday and sees you are reserved/rehomed. Be very happy little one..xx

Star was a lonely boy today as all his pals went to the Dogs Day out in the Country - however, he wasn't complaining as he is a lucky boy with a red sign outside his kennel and he will be off to his very own sofa soon. We had a lovely afternoon, he had a chicken sandwich treat (well, we bet all his pals were having treats at Snitterfield!), a play in the run and plenty of snoozes in the very strangely quiet kennels. This boy is definitely a cuddly boy. I was stroking him through his bars and his face was complete bliss. He decided this wasn't enough though, and then turned round leaning against the bars so I could slip my arm through and cuddle him. Someone's going to get a softy. Lovely boy x J

If you are thinking of adopting one of Daybreaks lovely Greyhounds please don't overlook the fantastic boys...they may be a little bigger than the girls but have so much love to give and have such wonderful characters. All they want is a home to call their own. Xxx

Star you walked so well this morning and later played in the run with the squeaky toys- the lamb chop is your favourite! You are so friendly and such a handsome boy. My Star! xx

Star is a big Fuss pot. He is quite vocal in the kennels, but as soon as you go in with him he will take as much fuss as you can,please don't overlook him if he is barking,he just wants YOU to give him some attention !!! Good luck xx

I met this boy this morning. He would have happily let me stay there all day fussing him through his kennel door. When I left, he was keeping a fellow volunteer busy fussing him, standing up at the side of her with his front paws on the bench being stroked and cuddled. He didn't seem to mind this task too much! Seems a soft-hearted boy J x

Had a few cuddles this morning with Star and he certainly is one. He really enjoyed being fussed.

Yes I totally agree... black dogs.. esp once they have shed their fluffy kennel coat ..shine beautifully in the sun and look so sleek Its so sad that theyre often overlooked esp the big boys Good luck sunshine x x

I thought Star would have flecks of white , just like our first g/hound Kez. The trainer took the blame for painting the kennels, but just a joke.

Star has my favourite markings for a black boy - flecks of white all through his coat making it look like someone has splashed him with a paintbrush! He certainly is a handsome fella. x
