My precious Georgie Bean went to join Wispa, Maggie and Basil, all of my beautiful angels I have lost this year. My heart is seriously broken but with the guidance of Chris at Fivelands in Moseley, I made such a hard decision, but I knew 100% I was doing the right and bravest thing for my precious girl - she just didn't deserve to get worse. She was a beautiful wonderful little lady and our house seems so empty...... Missing you my little Bean xxxxxx

I am over the moon! The results have come back on the tumours removed from Georgie last week and non are cancerous!!!! We are busy trying to feed her up but she is a bright and spritely little dot!

Our tough little boot has been through a big op today - a large mass was found on ultra sound by her kidney and it was debated whether to proceed with the surgery or not due to her being so frail and elderly. Her pre-op bloods came back looking good and so she was put on a drip and off to theatre she went...... She was in the fantastic hands of Chris Lancelot at Fivelands and she is now back at home and settled following her extensive surgery with other tumours removed at the same time. I didn't think I would be bringing her home but I have and I am over the moon.... she is one little amazing fighter :-)

Our beautiful little Georgie Bean is going in for her spey today. It is something I have discussed at length with many but due to the fact her season was heavy and long and she has mammary tumours already, she is going to be at greater risk of pyometra if she isn't speyed. She will have the full works with pre op blood tests to ensure she is fit for surgery - today is going to be a long anxious wait but she is a tough old boot.......

Panic over! After we came back from the walk this morning I found drips of blood.... only to find Georgie has come into season bless her!

So pleased Georgie is OK after her op. She will feel so much better now. What a tough little soul she is! Xx

I am pleased to say that other than the fact that I know she went to the vets yesterday, there is no sign that Georgie has even had anything done to her!

She has been up and down the stairs, had her walk and eaten a big bowl of mince and pasta as well as a load of ham. She has no bleeding and is very very bright.... she is one tough old bird!

The little lass is now a total gummy bear and had her 29 remaining teeth out. Massive thanks to Chris and all at Fivelands for looking after her x

My cuddle goes to Georgie today. Hope she's had a comfortable night and is starting to feel better xx

Our beautiful Georgie Bean has gone off to Fivelands this morning to hopefully have her dental. For those of you who have met her and been knocked out by her awful breath will understand that this really needs to be done. Her gums are ulcerated and many of her teeth are loose and almost hanging out of her gums. She will have her pre-op bloods to check she is fit for anaesthetic and as all of our Fivelands ops, she will be on a drip prior, during and after surgery. Just got a nervous wait now...

Can't wait to get home - missing my gorgeous Georgie Girl and of course the rest of the Boswell crew! xxxxx

After having met Georgie earlier this week, I can see how she has ended up on the sofa....she is just the sweetest little girl! Xxx

Our gorgeous Georgie has us wrapped around her paw! Despite our rule of no dogs on the sofa in the lounge..... erm - guess where her favourite place is?! On review at Fivelands she has gained over 2 kilos and with a couple more to go she can undergo her much needed dental.

She is a spritely little lass and has enjoyed testing out the new run at the kennels where she shows she still has plenty of energy for her age.
