I took Poppy to Fivelands yesterday for a investigational laparotomy and biopsies of her liver and spleen. It was a worrying day waiting for news but I collected her yesterday late afternoon (after someone had crashed into my car on the way to the vets) to find a brave bright little girl.

This morning she has eaten well and is extremely spritely considering what she went through yesterday and we will keep our fingers crossed for the results.

I am so desperately grateful to everyone who has made a donation towards Poppy's care from my recent appeal through the Grapevine newsletter. The kindness, care and consideration to help Poppy and every grey that comes to us is so very much appreciated.

Little Poppy has gone to the vets for the scan of her liver today. I am keeping absolutely everything crossed for her.

So happy for Poppy...she has a lovely home! Will keep everything crossed her health issues can be helped. Xxx

Poppy is staying with us for a few days as she had a biopsy of her pad and nose last week and has needed dressings.

The results of her biopsy came through yesterday and she needs a scan of her liver which is going to be done on Thursday. This will hopefully give a diagnosis as to why she has the condition.

Poppy came back with me after the walk at Brueton Park yesterday as she is going in for a biopsy of her nose today. She is such an amazing girl - if you would like a little girl with a loving personality.... look no further!

Poppy, it's good to hear your pads and nose are improving. You are such a tiny, sweet little girl and hopefully a lovely home is not far away. xx

I took this little sweetheart to the vets today for a review. She has a condition called hyperkeratosis which makes her pads and nose look 'crusty'. Her nose and feet are looking so much better as she has been on a long course of steroids which are now going to be reduced. She has started to lose a little weight and her heart rate has slowed but this could be a side effect of the medication she has been on. This lovely sweet natured girl just needs a home where she can be loved and enjoy her retirement.

I walked Poppy today. She was also very enthusiastic to be taken out of her kennel for her walk. Once we were out, she walked along with no silliness and was so gentle on her lead, it really was as if there was nothing on the lead. She's a gorgeous girl x J

I actually managed to get out from behind the desk yesterday and go out on a walk!! Had the pleasure of walking this beautiful little girl, and what a little gem she is. She walks so beautifully, trotting along beside you and always making sure she is close enough for a little lean and a fuss every time we stopped! I have my fingers crossed that her very own sofa isn't too far away. xxx

I took the lovely Poppy to the vets this morning. She has a condition where her nose and pads are 'crusty'. She is on steroids and any treatment for this will be funded by the Trust if and when she is lucky enough to find a new home. She would probably prefer to be an only dog and was great at the vets this morning being examined and meeting other breeds. She travels well in the car and walks nicely on her lead.

So very sorry for Maggie and Poppy...Xxx

Unfortunately, Poppy has been returned today. She wasn't settling and her owner was very upset at having to return her.

I think Poppy likes us we are spending the days just enjoying each others company. Still cat training. Ellie teaching her Tom playing with her. Rose watching. I do the food and walks and pick up the poo ..... I know my place ... Great love to all XXX
