I am so sorry I had to leave you, but I had no choice, my lovely, sweet girl.
I love you so much, my little Star and I am so sad I won't see you and Charlie live out your lives, but I know you are in your home and well cared for. This is the only way I can tell you how much I love you. I so miss our hugs on the sofa. You were always so much fun, with so much love to give. I love you Star and will never forget you x

Happy Late Christmas, from the Christmas Star!

She is just lovely and helped with all the Christmas jobs and deliveries this year (she loves to get involved!). Her face is now nearly completely white, but she has boundless energy and cheek and shows no sign of slowing down! xxx

Congratulations to my little Star!
Just got a telephone call from the Blue Cross Animal Charity saying she had won 'Fastest Dog' for their Dog Dash competition, at their show on Saturday! She also won 'Best 6 Legs' with me as well!
She also got rosettes for Best Rescue and Best Veteran at the dog show in Broadway too!
Very proud! xxx

It' me, Star! I don't usually use my voice on here, but, well - that Foxy!!!
I had a lovely time at the Birthday party, minding my own business, waiting for a burger, then that old Foxy Uppy started humping my leg!!! I wouldn't mind, but he nearly fell over in the process! Kept following me around he did - had to be escorted out in the end! I don't know! - I mean he's old enough to be my Granddad! Randy old Uppy!
And you don't want to know what Charlie Mouse had to say about it when I got home!

Well, this little, cheeky bundle of fun is still going great!
Was a bit worried about her starting to growl at the cats as she's got more confident, but we've been really working with her training & she's doing brilliantly!
She's such a feisty Miss! She barks on the dot for her meals, when she wants to go out & at Charlie Mouse to get up & play pheasant with her! She is in a constant state of roach & is oblivious to the loudest of fireworks!

Thanks, Linda - u will have 2 backing dancers!
Yes, Jo, we are signing her up at the bbq!

This one is so confident & feisty - Mouse growled at her cos she was trying to get Sid Snake out of his mouth, so she grabbed pheasant, to which he tried to get it from her mouth & she gave a massive growl back at him! He is also grudgingly letting her wash him & kick him on the sofa!
She actually thinks she is the same size as Mouse & went into protect mode, pushing herself in front of Sam snarling at a dog that came bowling over off the lead this morning (just like with me yesterday). Seriously - 2 peas in a pod - except 1 is a GIANT pea! They run about together, laughing, tails like helicopters, planning their next naughty escapade together! x

So happy for you all. So Charlie Mouse finally did overcome his 'old man syndrome', well done Mouse. Was going to say yesterday that you should get to the BBQ early so that you could complete the relevant paperwork and get your new photo on the Daybreaks Alumni page!! Looks like you may be doing this before then. Hope Star is well after her trip to the vets. Hope to see you all on Saturday. x

Star (Rusty) is officially in love with Charlie Mouse! Follows him everywhere & everywhere he sits she tries to sit next to him! He likes her but is getting slightly annoyed with her trying to squash herself next to him on the settee & throwing herself at him covering him in kisses when he comes in & has been out without her!!
She is such a 'Minnie Mouse' - looks just like him, except half his size, is so confident like him & in the park today the pair of them turned into the hounds of hell when a German Shepherd off the lead came towards us!
PS I really don't know who is the happiest & has the waggiest tail! She is playing ball downstairs by herself while I type this! x

Pleased to read that this little girl has a place to stay for however long it turns out to be! Some company for Charlie Mouse for a while anyway. Hope all goes well. As regards the sudden wees, Lucy goes through periods of being better and worse re this but generally, if you think she may need to go out, put her out; if she's eaten, put her out; if she's gone out and seems uninterested but hasn't been for a while, leave her there a couple of minutes and watch she doesn't squat down as soon as she's let back in and learn to watch for very subtle signs that she may need to go. You may still get a couple of slip ups but hopefully a few less! All the best x J

All went well last night - they slept in their own rooms, but Charlie asked for the adjoining door to be left open!!
Then about 8am this morning we were awoken by the pair of them rooing like a couple of ferals at the bottom of the stairs!! (Charlie is usually silent until we open his door!)

Yes, we have this one!
We have tried & tried to get her to answer to Rusty, but to no avail! So we tried her racing name - Star & she came running! So at the moment she is 'Little Star'!
She is very, very confident, bright as a button, happy, loving & not phased by anything! She has handled The Mouse & taken his bed! She has greeted everyone at the door, taken them to the studio, seen they are seated & then gone back into the front room, back on her bed! She has eaten & loved her breakfast, lunch & dinner! & gone on little walks (she is still post op) - proud as punch, next to Charlie Mouse who she seems to adore! We have just had problems with her weeing in the house without warning (more warning with a boy!) even though at other times she has been shown the garden & done it there. So advice here would be appreciated!
She is so confident, that our friend just came over with her girl greyhound & she gave a little growl when she came in, as if to say - 'this is my house'!
As I type though, it will be her 1st night alone downstairs (Sam made up a make shift bed & slept down there last night - it is our rule that no pet spends their 1st night here alone!) so we will see how she goes!
Oh & no muzzle is needed for the cats - she is scared of them & they have taken no notice of her!
