This morning I tested my sardine and oat biscuits on Billy. Perhaps it might be better if his name was Dyson - the biscuits disappeared in a heartbeat. He looked very pleased with himself although did let out a mighty belch!
Hopefully Billy's luck will change soon. He's a very impressive boy and desreves a loving home.

A cuddle for Billy tonight...he was such a good boy when he donated blood to the Pet Blood Bank earlier this week. Xxx

Thanks Jembob, that's good to know. We had to bandage his tail as he damaged it with his wind turbine wagging!

Steve. Billy was in fine form today. His tail is bandaged up at the moment but it didn't stop him enjoying his (wet) walk this morning. The last time I saw him this morning, he was mauling a squeaky toy in the kitchen run. He's getting plenty of fuss and deserves it.

Always check to see how Billy is doing. Very sad it didn't work out. Good luck Bill x

I saw Billy and familly when I took Dex back this afternoon. They must all be devastated. Billy will be rehomed again in no time - in the meantime he will be my second favourite after The Big D!

*Billy update* Billy took to his new home very well eating all his meals as if they we're his last. Been fantastic on the lead and loves the woods at the back of the house. Mind you he kept us up all night as he was a bit anxious about been left obviously enjoyed the company. Today he's been much much - knows we're here for him and we'll always come back. Finally the local squirels have had the shock of their lives as they tried to steel the bird food - dont think they'll be that stupid to come into the garden again!! More billy news soon x x

Billy made me chuckle yesterday. He was just about to leave to go to his forever home, but walked towards his kennel as though he thought his 10 mins out was a little jolly. When he realised he was going out the gate instead his tail didn't stop wagging and he happily trotted down the drive. X

Glad to see Billy going to his new home today. Billy was a pleasure last week at the Stratford Awareness Roadshow, calm and cool and a great advert for Greyhounds. His new owners are getting an absolutely fabulous and loyal friend. Good luck.

Had a great day so many tourists fussing over me and beautiful weather,,, Came back to the kennels and I have a new forever home to go to! I met Billy for the first time and he is a stunning hound. I really feel for his family having to give him up and am not at all surprised that he has been snapped up so quickly. He could have easily found a place of his own at Jembob Towers if we were quicker off the mark! Good luck in your new home big boy, I'm sure that you will light it up.

Sending my cuddle to Billy tonight We too had the same problem with our first grey and pet bird Luckily with training and a water spray the dog soon got bored and stopped and our bird forgave him lol However we appreciate how difficult it was at the time Billy will soon find his sofa I'm sure x :))

We are both very upset at having to return Billy.
When we first had him he was lunging towards our pet bird. After a bit of training and help from Linda and Paul he stopped doing this, however our bird didn't forget this and everytime Billy would enter the room or stand up he would have a panic attack.
Billy is a lovely boy, he stretches his front legs in the morning when we come downstairs (my girlfriend says he's bowing to us!). We then give him his cuddles and wipe away any sleep from his eyes.
He is 100% clean in the house. He mastered the stairs pretty quick. He doesn't pull on the lead, he's a pleasure to walk. He will pull when he sees cats or squirrels, but soon settles back down.
Again, we feel very emotional about all this, almost like having a death in the family, but the situation was very stressful, keeping Charlie in another room didn't work as he felt left out and would squawk. Remembering to keep them separated when going out was becoming a pain too.
He would make a lovely pet and companion.

Sadly Billy has been returned today. Despite his owners success with training him to ignore their pet bird, the bird is now terrified of Billy and is getting very stressed. Billy's family say he is a perfect boy and are extremely upset to have to return him.

Thanks for all the kind words. Only a couple of days, but Billy is settling in really well. He loves his fuss - especially his ears being stroked, he really is a gentle giant. We're off to Kingsbury Water Park tomorrow so plenty of walking and exploring.
