Alan&Pam. I agree about Lucy. We've spent a lot of time with her and she really is a fantastic hound. She loves coming to our house, is impeccably behaved and we would love to give her a home if we could. Lucy is everything that you could wish for in a greyhound.

I am puzzled as to why this lovely girl is still waiting for a home. She is such a beauty, very friendly and affectionate. I'm sure there would never be a dull moment with Lucy...Someone please give her a chance xx

The definition of a millisecond = the time between the fridge door opening and Lucy making a charge for the kitchen.

The fun and games on the backseat continue. We arrived at the park this morning and I opened the back door. Snap was facing the other way so we had full view of his bum and wagging tail. Suddenly, Lucy's head appeared from between his back legs. It was so funny.
Lucy can now come down stairs on her own - she comes down even quicker than she goes up and it's scary to watch.
I think that one of my neighbours has fallen in love with Lucy. She tends to do that to people.

Jembob, huge thanks for taking the lovely couple out for a treat today. Lucy is gorgeous, and I really cant understand why she has been overlooked for so long. At least now we can tell prospective adopters just how well she will fit in within a home environment - she really deserves her chance now. Sleep well poppet, sweet dreams. xx

We have been fortunate enough to spend much of the day with Snap & Lucy. This morning we took them to Bruton Park where both of them received a lot of attention from passers by. Both are perfectly behaved with other dogs, large or small. Lucy seems to be getting used to going out to different places and really seemed to enjoy herself.

Rather than heading straight back to the kennels, we all went back to our house for a rest and something to eat. We were not sure what to expect from these two as we believed this to be their first home visit. Lucy was a revelation and settled in within minutes. Out of kennels she is a complete fuss monster and enjoys being involved with everything. She saw Julie go up stairs and followed without hesitation. No issues at all and perfectly behaved. The only black mark was that she pinched some of Snap’s lunch while he wasn’t looking!

Lucy exceeded our expectations today a showed us what a wonderful family member she would be. She’ll sleep well tonight.

This little girl would really like a forever home. I don't know why she is still at the kennels as she is lovely. xx

Lucy got her revenge on Snap this week. On the way back from Bruton Park, Lucy was the first to claim the back seat of the car - she's a quick learner. Left with little space, Snap decided to just sit on Lucy. We had to stop the car and sort them out but the do make a great couple!
They insist on trying to get out of the car at the same which can be a bit of a handful but fun!

I forgot to mention that Lucy travelled very well in the car. She got in on her own and settled down quickly during the short trip to Kingsbury.

Lucy and Snap joined a large group of greyhounds at Kingsbury water Park for a walk in the winter sunshine. She started off in an enthusiastic manner which continued for the rest of the day. She must have experienced so many new sites and smells today and you could see her taking it all in.
Lucy is a great looking hound and she got plenty of interest and compliments. I'm sure that a couple of our fellow walkers could easily be tempted to adopt Lucy!
Lucy is now ready to go to a home of her own. She is a really lovely hound that deserves the best.

Not sure why this little girl is getting overlooked by would- be adopters. She is very cute, walks nicely and likes fuss! Hope her forever sofa is not far away. xx

My clean kennel award today goes to the very pretty Lucy, and of course her handsome kennel mate Snap. On opening up I had to double check they had actually spent the night there and hadn't sneaked out to a party! A quick straighten pf the blanket and they were done. Lucy is such a pretty and friendly girl with the cutest nose, I really hope she doesn't have to wait too much longer for her own home. xx

I spent a while with this lovely girl on Thursday. She is a really friendly and affectionate hound but is now ready to move on to a home of her own. Lucy always seems to be ready for whatever is going on and would be a real bundle of fun at home, and the good news is that she can be easily bribed with a treat. A very sweet and pretty grey.

You get my special sunday cuddle today Lucy, i do hope you get a new home for christmas, that would be wonderful xxxxx

It was lovely to meet this pretty lady at the Maybird centre, she leans well!!!!! . Xxx

Lucy was out and about on Saturday at the Maybird Shopping Centre in Stratford helping at the PBRGT awareness day being held there.
This beautiful brindle and white girl behaved impeccably with everyone she met loving all the attention she received from both adults and even tiny little toddlers.
Although rather curious at seeing very small dogs for the first time there was no display of any aggression.
She travelled perfectly in the car and is one beautiful greyhound waiting for her forever home to arrive.
It was also lovely to see ex Daybreaks residents Celt and Archie(formerly Gooner) and their respective owners spending time with us on their first awareness days.

Popped into kennels yesterday to buy fleece coats for Reggie and Ollie as it's getting colder and couldn't resist saying hello to all the dogs, including this pretty girl. A little nervous at first but a couple of sausage treats that I just happened to have on me, did the trick. I hope she finds her forever home soon.

What a beautiful girl Lucy is. She is quite big, with the cutest white socks on each leg and such a pretty face. Understandably still a little nervous, she is such a sweet girl and I'm sure she will start to relax with us soon. x

Rather fell in love with this one! Very sweet but a little nervous at the moment. Sure she will soon get used to her new surroundings but doubt she will be staying very long! xx
