I need to compose myself as I know how difficult it is to lose your baby! I think we all remember Fletcher as the prison Dog, then known as Brandon who went on the prison experiment. Then you look him in and he became Fletcher (or as many of us referred to him as Norman Stanley!! He was also a Ballymac dog (just like Sarah Scare Bear) All our dogs are special but as we said the Ballymac dogs are special. Fletch run fast and free you were loved so very much, not just your family but by everyone who knew you. Candle lit in your memory. Much love to everyonewho has felt your loss. Xxxxxx

14th March 2013 - 1st June 2021

It is with complete and utter disbelief I find myself having to write we lost our beloved Fletch yesterday. After suddenly being taken ill he was gone within a day.

He leaves behind a totally devastated family. John and I have lost our precious wonderful lad. Skip has lost his big Brother and Lyra has lost her best friend, play mate and protector. A happy, friendly boy he was very much loved by all. Xxx Fletch was always full of life, he loved his walks, his food and his little sister Lyra. :)

For four years we had the pleasure of his company and we will cherish the many happy memories we have of him. We feel so very sad he has been taken from us so young. I think back to the day he arrived at Daybreaks, speaking to his racing owner who told me..."He doesn't have a bad bone in his body" How right he was! Xxx

God Bless you Fletch, our Angel. I know there are lots of new friends at Rainbow Bridge waiting to welcome you.

Can't believe another Birthday has arrived for our wonderful lad Fletch! He is six today! He has had a nice new collar and looks very handsome indeed. :))

As I write this he is laying on the sofa legs in the air and what looks like a big grin on his face. :))

We adore him; he is a big lad with a big heart. He loves Skip and Lyra. He plays with Lyra and puts up with her jumping all over him and generally being a pest as little sisters can sometimes be!!

It always makes me sad to hear the boys, especially black boys are the hardest to find homes for. We currently have around thirty boys waiting to come into the kennels. I have two beautiful black lads, Fletch and Skip, they are friendly, funny, very loving and I adore them both! :))

Well we sorted out who are the real walkers and who are the fair weather walkers in our family this evening! After tea I stood in the lounge and asked my three lovely doggies "Who wants to go for a walk?"...Fletch (I'll go for a walk anytime) was up and raring to go :) Skip (I'll plod along at the back) and Lyra (I'll sniff every single blade of grass) looked at me as if I had gone completely mad and snuggled further into their beds! :)) Fletch and I had a very nice but very cold walk together; we are made of sterner stuff! :)

A big cuddle for Fletch tonight. He was was a very brave boy and donated blood to the Pet Blood Bank today for the third time. He was so good and really made me smile when he very gently took treats from one of the nurses....was this really my nutty treat snatcher I usually see at home!! Bless him! Xxx

Fletcher and Skip have just returned home after we took them away on a week's holiday to Woolacombe in Devon. Cousin Max and my sister came too :) All the dogs had a wonderful time! It was Fletch's first holiday and to see his reaction to all the new sights and sounds was priceless. He had a favourite spot where he would stand and stare at the sea for ages. We had lots of days out walking...he couldn't quite grasp the idea that a picnic is meant to be for everyone to share and everything is not for him! :))) It has been so lovely to spend lots of time with my two fabulous boys and I am sure our little Twiggy was with us too; she loved Woolacombe. Xxx

I love a dog with character, I have had a few in the past and now have one with Max, he is a real food monster, his favourite is pizza! He can reach the most inaccessible places!

Rosie is right...the "real" Fletcher is starting to appear! It all started after I signed his paperwork and bought him a new collar!! He knows he has his forever home and has put his little paws firmly under the table and on it! :))) Xxx

I took Brandon home on Monday...just for the evening to see how he got along with Skip...well it is now Friday and he is still here! Thought I had better reserve him. :) He is absolutely delightful; a very happy, bouncy boy who loves to play! Skip likes him too. :))) We have given him a new name; Fletcher. Fletch has brought laughter back into our home after losing our beautiful Twiggy in May. Hope she is ok with him coming to live with us. Xxx

Brandon has arrived back today from the prison project.
We were told he settled into the kennels well and initially did not eat much but now enjoys his food very much. He loves his walks and time in the sand run and could get quite excited when he knew he was going out.
They told me he is a very special loving hound who can be lively and very playful. He gets a little anxious at times but does seek reassurance from those he knows. His weight has increased nicely and we are so pleased he is back at Daybreaks as it is time for him to find a home of his own.
