I've done it again, for some reason I keep thinking Floyd's birthday is 4th June, it's not it's 2nd June. So, fish fingers for dinner tonight and a lovely New collar to try and make up for being a day late (again)!!!

I'm sure he will forgive me especially as he had a day at the Kennels with Peanut. X

Good Boy Flloyd is brighter today and the bleeding has stopped. I'm sure in a couple of days he will be feeling much better for having the bad teeth removed. Thanks to all who wished him well. Xx

Good Boy Flloyd was at the vets today, I have my own seat there now! He went in for a dental. Collected him at 4.30, 18 teeth lighter which was better than I thought it would be :(( He did bleed quite a bit after the op but it had stopped when I collected him, he has started bleeding again at home so will monitor him carefully.
So now I have 2 bleeders at home as gummy Max (Gummers) is bleeding intermittently with his nasal tumour. He is still eating (lots), trotting around and is completely cheeky when it comes to treats!! All I can say is thank goodness for a steam mop, washing machine and anti bac wipes!

Well....I think Good Boy Flloyd has forgiven me for missing his birthday. We made up for it with mashed potato, cod in butter sauce all mixed in with their dinner. Coopers first experience of special dinner and he didn't complain!!! I will post a Cooper update in the next few days. Take care everyone. Xxx

Well......with the terrible sadness of this week (and I thought his birthday was 4th June) I forgot Good Boy Flloyds birthday yesterday. He said its fine, we need to remember the dogs that have crossed Rainbow bridge recently and their families. He said we will have birthday special dinners tomorrow and we will light candles again for handsome Fletch and little girl Flash. They will always be remembered.

Well, it would appear little boy Flloyd is on the Pet Blood Bank Facebook homepage. He gave his 10th donation this week, meaning he has potentially saved up to 40 dogs lives...not bad. Well it would seem that my calculations are wrong. Good boy Flloyd has made his 10th donation to the Pet Blood Bank. He got a lovely stainless steel water bottle and a badge confirming his donation! So very proud of him. He also received some very extra special treatment from Laura one if the nurses who managed to pop some of the remaining blackheads on his belly. He normally gets on the sofa and stands next to me for he to get them!!L xxx

Good boy Flloyd also donated blood this morning. He is on his 7th donation, he is such a good boy and loves all attention he gets from the blood bank girls. If anyone is unsure about taking their grey to donate please speak to either the kennels or Pet Blood Bank directly. Every usable unit taken can save up to 4 dogs lives. It is so worth while. In addition every dog receives a full health check. Flloyd and Willow particularly like the treats, goody bag, toy and dog food they get after donating!

Myself Flloydy and the furry five enjoyed our chicken, pasta, parmesan and butter last night. I says I loves having Italian family and we loves our pasta, rice cheese and especially parmesan (only the fresh type of course) My mom makes a wicked proper Italian pasta dinner (my nanna is Italian, she says we are all too thin, but we are not we are all greyhound shaped)!!. Well, hello everyone. This is my formal request to be returned to the kennels. Yesterday was my birthday and shock horror my mom forgot. How could she? You all know how she makes a big fuss when it's a birthday or gotcha day. So here I go on my rant:
If she had changed the calendar it would have shown my birthday. What is her excuse.......My head is all over the place thinking about my new Job.
No excuse in my eyes, although she has gone and bought fishy fingers for our dinner tonight, with mashed tatoes and vegetables. Oh and she said that sometimes when she is at work we might be able to go with her, bribery I think. Flloydy signing off and waiting for dinner. Xxxxx

Well today me Flloydy, Sarah, Willow and Max had a play date in the run with Florence and Barney. Although the weather was naff (I think that means not too good) we all did loads of zoomies! I think it was much more zoomies than we did the last time. Florence insisted on leading the bark to play, and Barney was so much more confident it was great to see. We had a really really great time. It was lovely to see Auntie Kate, Jess and the other volunteers, they all work so hard to find us hounds lovely homes. Please don't forget that the run is available all week, you only need to call and book. It's not just for Grey's but to all dogs. X

Flloyd, sounds as though you did a lot of running away from everyone in the sand run today! Hope you all had a great a time. Xxx

Flloyd update. I always say that there is no such thing as a naughty greyhound, it is just character. Well last week we had a couple of character incidents. So Flloyd with 2 LL's was nearly Flloyd with 2 FF's!!! Cheeky monkey. He is absolutely fantastic and so very loving. He is answering to his new name, although I think we could have called him 'come here'. Willow is now safe, he has very little interest in her at all now. So all going Well for good boy Flloyd. Xxxx

Update on Flloyd. He has settled in and adjusted so well and his true character is definately coming out now! We have had a couple of countersurfing incidents, but if temptation is left in the way, hey ho, can't say I haven't warned everyone. The second such episode involved a very well devised pincer movement. Flloyd reaching the food and pulling it down on to the floor from the back of the worktop, followed by his accomplice Max picking up and running off with the spoils, resulting being chased around the house to recover the item, which then had to be shared between Sarah and Willow as well as the 2 culprits. He has such a big character for such a small boy! He is clean in the house, sleeps through, eats like a horse (well small pony) and loves everyone, his short tail doesn't stop wagging. Hormones must be settling down now after his op as Willow is no longer having to guard her rear end as much! It is like he has been here forever. x

Ah well done Flloyd you are a very lucky boy! I always try and work out who people are with their code names on here and I thought I knew who your new mom was and the rehoming photo confirms it! I always speak to and admire your mom at the shows as she has all her beautiful hounds with her so I'm guessing I'll see you at the October show? Good luck to you are I can tell you'll be spoilt rotten! Xxx

So very happy to make this official today. This boy is so tiny, needs some serious TLC, he will gain weight and will look absolutely amazing in a few weeks. He has set so well, you would not believe he had had such a big neutering op, he has shown no signs of any discomfort at all. He has been clean in the house and loves his food and Willow, although I am not sure in which order! So lovely. Xxxxx

Well, it is so far so good. He spent ages lying at the top of the stairs yesterday evening looking longingly at Willow who was in the bedroom. He ate all of his dinner and then settled down in the living room for the evening, we didn't even know he was there! He trotted happily upstairs at bedtime and slept by the side of the bed until I got up this morning, not a peep out of him all night. He ate his breakfast looked a bit confused when cornflakes were put in front of him, but they soon disappeared, he went outside, he has been such a good boy (so far)! The others absolutely love him and they all get on great, so all being well.....well you all know the rest! Oh, and we are trialling a new name which he seems to be responding to. Will reveal this later :)

This gorgeous boy has come home with me today, needed to make sure he and the gang got on. So far so good, has found a place on the landing, eaten all of his dinner. Tried to ignore doctors orders to be calm and has decided his neuter hasn't worked as he is head over heals with Willow! Think I may have to change my original name to Humphrey! So far have managed to prevent this. Sarah is being the typical matriarch and trying to let him know who is in charge, no chance, he is having none of it. He is so happy, nothing has phased him yet, see how he is overnight. Found and done the stairs, only because he was following Willow, and comes back when called. Love this little boy. Xxx
