This is an email from Buddy's new owners - and we have added the fabulous photo they sent....

I cannot believe it’s been a whole year since Buddy (Bolt) came home with us. He is a big dog with an even bigger character. His newest trick is when he can’t get on the sofa he goes upstairs, we wait for it, there he goes scraping the carpet to let us know he’s not happy about it !! He loves his food and ours too, a whole pizza was once pinched off dad’s plate and virtually inhaled... he’s tall, so anything on the kitchen worktop is up for grabs. However, the washing up does get done quicker now or Buddy is up at the sink licking the dinner plates clean !! He enjoys his walks and he gets very excited when it’s time to go out. He loves his toys, but we have yet to find an “indestructible” toy that Buddy doesn’t destroy in minutes, but we will keep looking!! He is an extremely loving boy and he can’t get enough fuss. He is a VERY VERY happy boy and loved VERY VERY much. There isn’t a day that he doesn’t make us smile or laugh...

I had the pleasure of walking this handsome boy today. He doesn't pull, he walked quietly by my side and obeyed every time I said "Leave it" ( there's a lot of litter in the lane). He does like a cuddle

A big cuddle for Bolt today, I really hope somebody offers this stunning boy a home, he has been in kennels long enough now, with some patience and understanding he will flourish, and gain confidence, please somebody, give Bolt a chance to shine xxxxx

Met Bolt today. What a lovely boy, friendly and affectionate. Hope he finds his forever home soon, he deserves it!!

Bolt has today helped out at our awareness/collection at Pets at Home in Stratford.
He is a tremendously friendly lad behaving perfectly with everyone he met including the smallest of children and dogs.
In his previous home he did suffer with separation anxiety but if there is anyone out there able to provide the right home enviroment this loving friendly boy will repay you with all the love and affection any dog possibly could.

A get well kiss for Bolt today xxxxxx

Gail and I took Bolt to the vets today to get his wound checked. Unfortunately he has managed to pull out one of the stitches. :( He has been glued back together! He is a very lovely boy, hope his forever home comes soon, he really isn't happy in a kennel environment. Xxx

Well Bolt doesn't seem to be suffering any after effects as when Sue and Scott went in to see him he was very very happy to see Scott ! He wouldnt let him go and just wanted fuss and attention . Bolt seems absolutely fine with Older Children (Scott is 12)

Oh no poor bolt, you're such a gorgeous boy sure it won't be long before your forever home comes. Sure your anxiety will get better with time, jets has although still not a fan of been left alone but he knows now that mommy and daddy will always come back and you'll learn that too when you get the next chance. Mind you I think I suffer from separation anxiety so i understand how you pooches feel lol! Xxx

Sadly Bolt has been returned today. Unfortunately he has been suffering from separation anxiety. His owners are very upset to have to return him.

I totally agree with Norman about Bolt. Lovely hound that would be a joy to have around a home.

I suppose after 2 months in kennels Bolt could start to be labelled a long stayer but hopefully this will soon be rectified as having today taken him to Brueton Park I must say he amazed me with what a lovely well behaved lad he was.
He jumped into the car on his own and travelled well.
He walks sensibly on the lead and is very friendly to all other dogs including small furrys.
He was interested in the squirrels but otherwise was perfect in every way.
He does love the company of other dogs and would probably be suited as as addition to a 'doggy' home rather than as a single dog.
It does appear he couldnt live with cats but will will be a fantastic addition to any other cat free home.
Anyone viewing him at Daybreaks please dont be put off by his initial bounciness in his kennel as he quickly settles once out of his kennel.

Bolt was such a good boy at Notcutts last week. He enjoyed lots of fuss and did plenty of leaning. Hopefully someone will take this lovely boy home soon to a well deserved sofa and all the fuss he wants and the love he can give xxx

This lad is full of beans! He has such a funny personality and loves to play in the sand run with Fizzy, but he also loves a cuddle in his kennel. For such a big lad he walks like an angel on his lead, so please don't be put off by his bouncy nature he just wants to play! :) xx

Come on people don’t overlook this stunning boy. I am a little smitten as he is Lottie’s half brother. If he is anything like my girl then any prospective owner is in for a fun time with a hound that will give you something to smile about every day.

Bolt came out for a walk with me again today. Wonderful hound. Just wonderful! If we could have a second grey I wouldn’t hesitate with Bolt.

Bolt is a super hound. He's a very handsome big boy who loves some fuss. Walks really well on the lead.
