Had a call from Julie all the way from Spain today. :)) She said to let everyone know Teddy is loving his new home! He gets to go for a walk on the beach every morning; before it gets too hot and then takes a siesta on his bed underneath the air con!
He has a new favourite treat...a custard danish supplied by the local Aldi store and generally lives a life of luxury. :)
He has already made friends with the neighbourhood dogs and is a firm favourite with the owner of the local cafe who supplies him with a pillow to rest his head while Julie and Mick drink their coffee. :))
How the other half lives!! So happy for Teddy, think about us occasionally lad especially when you are strolling along the beach! Lots of love to you all. Xxx

Latest update from Teddy...he is having a wonderful time and has got his family well and truly trained just how he wants them! He says he isn't keen on just walking along the roads so now has several parks he likes to visit in his chauffeur driven car! He is a very good boy and tells his Mom when he needs a wee, even if it is usually 2am in the morning!! He has discovered Salt and vinegar crisps taste great and is partial to a peanut butter sandwich for his lunch, that's after sharing his Dad's toast at breakfast! For Christmas he is having a leather collar and lead made specially for him by a Saddle maker. :)) Xxx
Teddy's Mom is very kindly knitting blankets for us and has asked if anyone has any unwanted balls of double knit wool she would be very grateful and will be at the Christmas party on Sunday. Xxx

Had a lovely phone call fromJulie, Teddy's Mom to say how well he is settling into his new home. They have been able to reclaim their bed and Teddy now has two beds of his own in their bedroom. :) His cheeky personality is beginning to emerge and he has been racing around the garden. He is a real Mommy's boy and she and Mick adore him. Thank you so much to them for giving a special boy a very special home. Xxx

Spoke to Teddy's lovely Mom and Dad today. He is doing brilliantly at the moment...he said to let everyone know he is loving sharing a big double bed and is becoming a real Mommy's boy!! So happy for him. Xxx

Teddy met a Beagle today. He was great with her :) He is such a funny lad...after going for a wee, he was trying to show off and wipe his feet in the sand but his coordination was not the best :) He was trying to wipe both back feet at the same time and ended up doing a strange little dance!! Xxx

Teddy loves people, he is one of the friendliest dogs and I have never seen him grumpy even with his sore paw. It was lovely to see him today without his bandage. Smashing boy xx

I am sure Teddy would be thrilled to have a home waiting for him and it would speed his recovery I am sure. Maybe this lovely sunny Sunday will encourage people to come and see him and all the big beautiful Black Boys who have waited patiently for a forever home while the pretty girls pass by so quickly. I have nothing against them, but the boys have stolen my heart since I had my first lad, Boy or girl it doesn't really matter as long as you find the one for you (or as usually happens, they find you) like Fat neck Finn did with us ! Just look what we would have missed if Ruth hadn't plead his case as the longest stayer. lol

Teddy is back at the kennels and had a check up at the vets this morning. He was such a good boy, jumped in the car with Latina with no problem and settled down straight away. When he arrived at the vets he had a nice big wee before we went in :)) His paw looks great and is healing nicely. He lay on the table while his paw was redressed and went to sleep! He looked so peaceful it was a shame when he had to get up!! He met two small fluffy dogs in the waiting room and was brilliant with them. Teddy is a very special lad and deserves a very special home. Xxx

How is Teddy getting on after his op? I am sure he will be enjoying lots of pampering in his foster home. Get well soon and fingers crossed for finding a forever home very soon. xxx

Ted, I am sure you will feel better after your op. Sarah had the same one last week an so far so good she is going around as normal. I have to say you have the most fantastic foster home, you will be spoilt rotten and you have your own special therapist on hand. Enjoy my boy. Xxxxx

Teddy came with us to the dog show today and was the easiest boy to have around. Although reluctant to jump into the car (why jump when you have someone prepared to lift you!), he settled down without a moan and was happy to share with Ice. He has lovely manners around all breeds of dog and was more interested in leaning in for a cuddle as he tired quite quickly on the walk around. He was lovely with our two young children and they were both very taken with him - he would be a perfect family dog and clearly enjoys the company of people. He saw lots of other breeds and showed very little interest and was happy to be sniffed by all. He decided the journey back to his comfy bed was worth it and jumped straight into the car and lay down. This boy definitely deserves a sofa soon.

I just love the look of this lad please people do not walk pass the quiet ones spend some time with them they are gems. I have a very quiet lad but he is an absolute cuddle monster i could so easily have over looked him but I am so glad that I didn’t.

I walked Teddy today in the lovely sunshine. He is a lovely lad,very calm and friendly. He is in need of some TLC in a home so that his paw can fully recover although this didn't affect him on his walk with his boot on.I do wish he could find his forever home or a foster home xx

Teddy is still taking antibiotics for his poorly paw. It would be great if he could find his forever home or a foster home for a while. I'm sure his paw would heal a lot quicker. It's difficult to keep it clean and dry in a kennel environment. He is a very sweet lad who just needs soemeone to love him and take care of him. :( Sending him my cuddle tonight. Xxx

Teddy is still wearing his boot on his poorly paw so we just had a stroll around the sand run this afternoon. He is such a lovely boy. I think when his paw is properly healed and he can go for a 'proper' walk he will find life a bit more interesting. Hopefully that will be fairly soon. He is very uncomplaining. xxxx

Teddy has a lovely soft coat, he is very friendly, patient and has a lovely nature. I do hope his forever home wont be too long. He is going to make a lovely pet. xxx

How's his paw doing?

Couldnt take the lovely Teddy out today. He is handling having his paw bandaged very well, he has a lovely personality. Big cuddle for him tonight xxx

Oh I do love Teddy. He came over to see me for a cuddle and stood with his bandaged paw off the floor. He is a a very brave happy softy. Hope the visit to the vets wasnt' too stressful and that he'll be much more comfortable now. Love and cuddles xxx

Poor Teddy, corns are grotty things!! Do hope his paw will soon feel better. Xxx

Teddy was a very good boy when he had his health check today. He was very easy to handle even allowing me to clean his teeth. He has super soft fur, he walks gently on the lead and is a bright intelligent boy. xxx

Gorgeous Teddy came to Elmdon Park with me today. Unfortunately the first two dogs we met lunged at him and made him jump. The first one made him run away to the very end of his lead! It seems odd to see a greyhound running away from a small fluffy dog!! He didn't however react to either dog to his credit. We carried on walking and met several other dogs ( including a toy poodle also called Teddy!) and his manners were impeccable. He can be noisy in his kennels (please don't let this put you off) but was very laid back in the park. He didn't mind saying hello to other dogs but I also got the impression he would have been happy to just keep walking too (although maybe he was just wary after his earlier experience). He's another handsome boy, who enjoyed all the fuss he got in the park (from children and adults). A pleasure to be with and he did make me laugh trying to get into the car. He just didn't really get it and seemed quite confused about how to go about jumping in. Think he might need to practise a few times with the family lucky enough to bag him xx

Oh poor Teddy - they can be such baby’s can’t they? I didn’t know a grey could sob until Archive had his first lot of jabs, he screamed when they went in and then sobbed all the way home! And his castrate when I picked him up he fainted !! So they wouldn’t let him leave. Come to think of it I didn’t know that they could faint either. Xxxx

It was Teddy's turn to go to the vets today and Honey's turn to miss her kennel mate. Poor lad was not happy on his return. He lay on the floor of his kennel crying, I'm sure he must be very sore! :( Sending him a big but gentle hug tonight! Xxx
