So very happy for Crazy Maisie Moo. She has such a fantastic home. Such a different dog than that who arrived at the kennels. Just goes to show what love and dedication can do. She is so happy and so is her Dad, have to say, made for each other. She is one extremely spoiled girl. Just love picking her up to come to the kennels, she travels so well in the car with my Arry. X

I did Maisie's home visit on Tuesday and so far she is doing really well. I think her sign may be turning green very soon!!!!! :-)

Maisie was delighted to find their was a Bonio biscuit in the envelope!

She had an exciting afternoon which involved her giving blood. She absolutely loved all the extra fuss and attention and she was a real hit with the nurses when she showed off her dancing skills when they were trying to do the pre op bits and pieces. She really is a special girl! :) Xxx

Had the pleasure of walking this delightful little girl this afternoon. She is a friendly girl with a lot of love to give. She walked really well again and enjoyed cuddles back in her kennel. Cuddles for her xxxxx

Walked this lovely little girl this afternoon. I couldn't NOT walk her after she offered me her paw through the bars of her kennel!!. She is easy to lead up and though she takes notice of everything around her, she walks nicely. Nuzzled me for a cuddle when I put her back into her kennel. She has come a long way since arriving at Daybreaks and when the right family comes along I think she'll be a happy and devoted pet. Also she quite likes being kissed on the head. Lots of cuddles xxxx

Maisie came to the park with me today. It is lovely to see that she is far more relaxed around people who visit her in her kennel than she used to be. Once leaded up, we headed to the car. She needed some help getting in but was happy to jump out. I had the feeling that she was a bit overwhelmed by all the different sights and sounds in the park as well as the volume of squirrels and other dogs. She will need someone with patience, who can introduce her bit by bit to her new life. I'm sure she'll be worth the effort though. Good luck little lady xx

Maisie was so cute when I went into her kennel with the lead. She jumped onto her bed and was offering me her paw! She does enjoy a good look and sniff around on her walk. She's a bundle of energy and a lovely girl xxxx

Maisie walks nicely on her lead. She is very interested in everything going on around her, from blowing crips packets to mowing machines. She does listen to a 'leave it' . She was very well behaved when walking alongside Cleo. Lovely girl xxxxx

This is another lovely girl who has come on leaps and bounds in recent weeks. She happily accepts cuddles and does love a good race around!! Hopefully her forever home with preferably an experienced sight hound owner will not be too far away. She is just waiting for her chance to blossom & shine. X

A big cuddle for Maisie, she is such a happy girl. When she comes out of her kennel for breakfast or dinner, she loves to race around the large feeding run as fast as she can! She seems to have a big smile on her face. :)) Xxx

Maisie is such a totally different girl than when she arrived at the kennels. When she arrived she was very unsure of the new environment. She was quite reactive towards people she did not know. My word, what a difference a few days made. I can sit in her kennel now and she thinks it is great fun to get really excited spring around and pounce all over you giving lots of kisses! She is such a bundle of fun, I do however think she would benefit being in a home with an experienced owner. I only mention this as she was so unsettled when she arrived at her racing kennels and also when she arrived at Daybreaks. It took her a few days to get uses to her new surroundings.. She is a firm favourite with lots of our volunteers, especially our French students, and of course me. With the right home this little girl would be a fantastic pet. X

She is so much more confident than when I last saw her! Willingly coming up for cuddles and attention now. She will still need an experienced owner, as certain situations still scare her.
But I am so impressed how well she has come in just a week! X

Masie had lots of visitors today and responded well to them all. She has gained so much confidence in the last couple of days. Thanks so much to Julie and friends for the harness for her. :))

What a lovely girl Maisie is. We knew she was nervous so we cautiously went to her kennel. She came to us for strokes on the face and head, so I went in and sat with her for a little bit and she even gave me a little kiss for my trouble. Hopefully she will gain her confidence, I am sure she will with all the love from Daybreaks to help her x

Decided to visit Maisie on my day off today. After she had been on her walk I went and sat with her again, this time she was unmuzzled!
She was fantastic, she gets on her bed when you ask her to. I went in armed with some cooked chicken. She is a clever little girl, she knew when I put the chicken in another pocket. After chicken we had cuddles and even kisses on my nose. Before I left her, she was kissing my hands (might have been she could still smell the food)!
When she finally gains your trust I believe she would make a lovely pet, albeit with an experienced owner. I will sit with her again tomorrow, can't wait to see how she does.

Such wonderful news, she's been on my mind, hate to think of her being so scared bless her, but fantastic progress has already been made, that will be massive to Maise, well done Jo and all at Daybreaks for your patience and love for these beautiful hounds xxxxx

I went into Maisies kennel several times today just to sit with her and see her reaction. She was great with me. She enjoyed cuddles, and lay across my lap. We got to the point that she trusted me so much that she came right up to my face and kissed me several times through her muzzle. Her trainer also called to see how she was, it was great to tell him that we are making some progress. She certainly is better on a harness, but today I got her in and out of her kennel without a lead.
It will take time and patience but she will get there. I am more than happy to put the time and effort in to help this little girl overcome her insecurities and find her the right home. X

New Mekuti harness and lead ordered- should be here maybe tomorrow but definitely on Monday :) x

My class TTouch & Train Greyhound Club will donate a harness and a double ended lead for Maisie that she can wear and take to her new home. I'll call in early next week to lend her one till a new one arrives :) x

Can't wait to meet you tomorrow. Your Great great Grandad was my rainbow bridge boy Bert's Dad. He was the softest gentlest respectful boy. Harry who has just been rehomed was related to Bert in the same way. He's a gorgeous sensitive boy too. Even several blood lines later the traits have continued. Whoever adopts you will have a special little girl. I'm sure you'll get used to your new life soon with all the help you'll get. x

We made some progress and managed to get a harness on you so that you don’t have to feel too uncomfortable about having your collar touched.
Someone’s going to have to put a lot of time into you but it will be worth it! Xx
