Overjoyed to know Daisy is safe and at home. :) I don't know how her family have got through the last 18 days or indeed how Daisy has managed to survive with everything she has had to go through including thunderstorms and scorching hot temperatures...BUT she did! :)) Sending her a huge cuddle! Sleep well in your own bed tonight little Daisy. Xxx

When Jo called me I was so scared to hear what she was going to say but just cried at the wonderful news. Just so overjoyed for Daisy and relieved for the family. They must have been so miserable these past few weeks. What a horrible experience for all but miracles do happen and this is one of those occasions. Some good nourishment and tlc and I am sure Daisy will settle back very quickly and not want to put so much as her nose outside the front door, or any door, without a family member present!!! Grateful thanks to the ladies who found and helped Daisy dont begin to express everyone's gratitude. Truly wonderful news.

DAISY IS HOME!! Daisy came out of the bushes not far from home and went up to 2 ladies who then took her to her home. She is very thin and will be taken to be checked over, but for now she is fast asleep, safe and well on her bed.
A massive thank you to everyone who helped search over the past 18 days, it's been a rollercoaster. Jill.

Daisy unfortunately escaped a few days ago after a delivery man tried to stroke her. She bolted and despite a team of us going out constantly, there have been no sightings whatsoever. If you live in the Rubery area or could like to help, please call me and I can put you in touch with the search coordinator. She is a very nervous girl and we are desperate to find her. Ruth x

I had the pleasure of walking Daisy again today. It started off just a bit drizzly. As we got out of the gate, Daisy did her usual look left to the sand run. It took a little bit of coaxing to get her moving but she walked well apart from a couple of little freezes, mainly at the corners and on turning round. It didn't take much to get her going. The rain got heavier by the time we got back so all the dogs got towel dried. She was ever such a good girl lifting her paws up for me to dry. Such a sweetheart. I'm so pleased she's got a home to go to soon. x

Ahhh so pleased for little Daisy. We were going to have her home with us for a week once Momma went back home so she could find out what home life was like and get more confident, but having a forever home is so much better. So pleased for her xx

Aww Daisy dog, lovely girl couldn't wait to get out of her kennel, but then didn't particularly want to walk. She was happy to go in the sand run for a good sniff. I think she'll need someone patient who can gain her trust and she'll be a lovely companion. Xxxx

Wow what a difference a week at Daybreaks makes. Last Thursday this little girl was too scared to venture far, this week I took a doggy cup cake to see if I could lure her, but it wasn't required as she trotted along with Ringo and Blue very happily. I did however use a little piece of cake to get her back into her kennel. She's a super little girl. Xxxxx

Little Daisy. What a difference a week makes. You're still a little unsure and don't like sudden movements or loud noises, but, with a little bit of help starting you off, you did a full walk with your kennel mates. You started at the back but we ended up being back to the kennels at the front. It was a pleasure to walk you and hopefully you'll get more confidence each day. Fingers crossed someone falls in love with you as I've done (we can't have 3 plus it wouldn't be fair to re-home such a little girl with 2 boisterous boys!) I'll keep watching this space.......x

I feel so sorry for Daisy. She is so unsure of her surroundings. She seems as if she wants to come out for a walk but then she just stands and looks around. I do hope she'll come to realise that learning the world can be fun. She likes hugs in her kennels and seems to be ok with people and other hounds. So massive hugs Daisy dog xxxx

Daisy's tummy was a little more settled today, bless her. She is a very timid little girl and at the moment just doesn't want to go out for a walk. Instead she seems to enjoy going into the sand run and even had a run around with our students. It's a really big adjustment for her but I'm sure when the right home comes along she will hopefully find out the outside world isn't as bad as she thinks. Xxx

My hug goes to Daisy again today. She was a poorly little girl after her worming tablet yesterday. Despite that she seemed a little bit more confident today. She had her 2nd bath in 2 days to get her nice and clean again. I helped one of the other volunteers (well, I tried to help by keeping hold of the slip lead but probably just got in the way!) Hopefully she'll get confident enough in the next few days to go out on walks with the others. She'll make a lovely companion and I hope she gets her forever home soon. x

Daisy is adorable. She's so petite and overwhelmed by her arrival at kennels yesterday. She's clearly not sure what's happening but I'm sure she'll soon settle into the routine. She went out on the morning walk but froze so she was brought back to the kennels where she got a lot of fuss (and treats!) to build her trust and confidence up. Myself and another volunteer took her for a little walk around kennels and into the sand run. She was ok walking if treats were involved! She's clearly food orientated but that should help with training. She made us laugh as she refused SAUSAGES! She loved pilchard cake and would eat sausages if the smelt of it! She's paired up with little Pixie in kennels and they make such a cute pair. I'm back at kennels tomorrow so I'll be able to see how she's settled in after having had a full day and night there. She gets my cuddle today. x
