Took the lovely Duque to Brueton Park on Saturday. He soon settled in the car and travelled really well. At the park he was a bit overwhelmed by all the new sights and sounds and was very reactive to squirrels. He was interested in dogs running around off the lead but I think this was because he wanted to play. He enjoyed watching the tennis and would have loved to play with the ball. He responded well to praise and encouragement and as our walk around the park continued he became much more relaxed. After the park we took him into Solihull Town centre and he was unfazed by the crowds and walked really well. By the end of our trip he was walking on a looser lead and was much more settled. He is a quick learner and a very loving dog.
We were really proud of the progress he made and we look forward to taking him out again and showing him that the big, wide world is not as scary as he thought. Xx

Duque did make me laugh today. He was bouncing up and down, like Tigger in Winnie the Pooh, in the outside kennel trying to reach the baubles hanging on the outside. I think he mistook them for toys!! He is a real character.

Duque has been with us for a while now and he is more than ready to go home! He really is a great lad who wants to enjoy all the sights and sounds the big wide world has to offer. :)) Xxx

It was fantastic to take this wonder of a boy out on a walk yesterday. He loves bouncing up and down when he knows he is going out for a walk and his eyes catches everything that moves!! Then just strolls along like nobodies business... such a wonder!!

Duque is a big bundle of fun. He gets so excited when he goes out but calms down once he gets into his stride. He is an intelligent friendly boy with lots of love to give. Xxxx

Duque had his dental yesterday- 8 teeth out. As we have been told by his trainer he has not been neutered but has no ‘baubles’, blood tests were done to check his hormone levels as the vet didn’t want to open him up until 100% confirmed he’s not neutered!

He is just adorable!

Duque is a happy boy. He loves playing with a tennis ball.
He finds life outside the kennel very interesting and can be strong on the lead. Loads of personality. Absolutely enjoys his interaction with people. Lovely boy xx

Oh Duque - I love your ears! They remind me of Snip’s when we first had her (she holds them totally upright now instead of over her forehead!). You look adorable xx
