I saw Spirit getting in the car yesterday. Needing a bit of convincing but he absolutely smashed the task!! Well done kiddo... you got a greyt family!

I’m so happy that Spirit has finally found a comfy sofa to lay in every night and I hope he has a lovely time with his current foster family- sending all the hugs to Spirit and his foster family

Yesterday was a lovely day… we had some new volunteers who absolutely fell in love with Spirit. Later that evening I had a message to say they would like to offer him a foster home from this weekend. I’m over the moon as he’d certainly be on my sofa if I didn’t have Miss Vodka my cheeky Egyptian girl!

Spirit good as ever taking every bite of his cream cake nicely from my fingers. Didnt batter an eyelid about what was going on around him.

Bless the lad. Such a shame for all. Well done for for him and the family for trying. There is always a greyt grey out there for everyone, trust me!!

Spirit has come back to the kennels today. Sadly he has been very timid around the family's young son. He has shown no sign at all of any aggression but is uneasy to be in the same room. The family feels he would be happier in a home without young children. Very sad for all concerned. Xxx

Spirit has been a super good boy, ate all his dinner and was on his best behavior on his first evening walk where he passed 3 doggies! He didn't spot the cat luckily haha

We went to visit Spirit today with our little boy,
this little gentle soul stole our hearts as he has many others. We couldn't not offer him a home and reserved him on the spot. Had to drag myself away because I didn't want to leave him. Staff were amazing, we can't wait to bring him home????

Our wonderful lad Spirit was Reserved this afternoon! Xxx I wish it was me....but sadly not this time. So happy for him and his soon to be new family. Xxx

Hoping to book a visit to meet Spirit and Gino, his little face is so cute bless him! Will check in tomorrow to see if he's still looking for a perfect home :) x

I took Spirit to Elmdon Park today and soon realised why Kate loves this lad so much.
He was a pleasure to walk with. Gentle on the lead and no problems with meeting other breeds or people.
Sadly the dog in the home he initially went to was too wary of a new arrival so a permanent homing wasn't practical.
I'm sure this wasn't anything to do with Spirits character and this very gentle and for a boy quite dainty dog is more than ready for his permanent home

My cuddle goes to Spirit tonight. I adore him! He is such a good boy, he will walk by your side from his kennel to the one of the kennel runs and will do the same to go back. He doesn't need a lead and he doesn't need you to hold his collar. He is still a little unsure of people but is getting used to taking treats from you. Xxx
He has a lovely face and now his hair has grown back across his nose, he is a very lad handsome indeed! Xxx

Unfortunately I missed this fella as he was out on morning walks and drove past them up on returning. He is adorable this lad...

Spirit is adorable! He is a very young lad, just two years old. Not three until mid July. I'm sure there is someone who has a Spirit sized space in their lives for this fabulous boy! Xxx xxx

Spirit has spent a couple of days in foster since being returned on Monday. He is a lovely gentle boy but would thrive with lots of love, and really enjoys his walks. He is great with other breeds but sadly the small dog in the foster home is too wary of young, spritely Spirit hence him coming back to Daybreaks this morning!

If he had a school report he would get an A+
He is clean in the house, fine around food and settled well into home life - he is wonderful at leaning! we are desperate to get this lovely boy into a home.
The foster home agrees he would be great living with other breeds as long as they are used to a young happy dog.

A good day for the lad today. Had a walk with our Kitty. Lots of new things to look at and process but no freezing. He was happy to trot on when I thought he’d looked long enough at something. He’s met other breeds of dog today and not been at all bothered. A v fast cyclist whizzed past us while we were stopped talking to someone and a child on a swing was one of the items of interest to look at en route home too. He’s played with Kitty until both were totally pooped but equally he’s listened when my older dogs told him to get out of their spaces. He’s interested in my little dog when she moves quickly but he’s having his muzzle on when they meet and he’s happy to be turned away from her and doesn’t push past me if I stand between them. We’ve found a better menu choice for him and he’s had brekkie and tea today and is now snoozing on the lounge floor. He does a great lean and is ready for his own lounge to snooze in.

Spirit has a good night with us. Some singing during the night and a dawn chorus at almost 7am which is acceptable in our house. He’s a lovely young chap who just wants to play. He’s discovered Kitty’s well stocked toy box but will equally settle happily if nothing is going on.

So very sad for Spirit and his family. Sending lots of love. Xxx

Absolutely gutted to hear the news Spirit has been returned. He and the family are fantastic, it is a shame for all. Wish the family all the best.

We are absolutely heartbroken to have Spirit returned to us today after only being rehomed on Saturday. This is sadly due to a sudden change in the family’s personal circumstances.

It was so lovely to see you all again today! Spirit was such a good boy waiting for us to complete his paperwork and sort out a new wardrobe for him! He is a very lucky lad to have found a wonderful home with you. Xxx
