Mr Bolt is now back with us. We are very happy and it was nice for Tracy and Rachel to visit him last week. We will look after him x

Bolt was recently returned due to problems between him and another of the family's Greyhounds. His owners were distraught at having to part with him but felt it was the right thing to do for both dogs....however after just a couple of days it was clear they couldn't bear to part with him and he is now back with them. As a family they are going to work hard at solving the problems they have been experiencing. The good news is they have already seen an improvement. Many thanks to Maggie and Chris for fostering Bolt until he could return home. It gave everyone a much needed breathing space. Xxx

One week today we handed Mr B back to his owner after his holiday break with us. He is a sweetie and cheeky monkey. We thoroughly enjoyed his week with us and miss him. Maggie x

Sadly Bolt has been returned to the kennels and his owner is distraught. He would suit a home where he is the only dog and is house trained and can be left.

Would have made it official sooner Caroline but unfortunately my old boy Rebel was poorly and I then had a car accident and was left with an equally poorly car!! Luckily both have made a full recovery so the first thing we wanted to do was make Bolt ours and turn his light green!! On the off chance that Bolt's former owner reads this I would just like you to know that Bolt has fitted in wonderfully, he loves the company of his new brother & sister & I can promise you he will be spoilt rotten with lots of walks in the countryside & hugs on the sofa. Thank you for allowing us to share in the life of such a special dog, I promise you Bolt has found his forever home and we will take good care of him for you xxxx

Hi Caroline, just read your comment, Bolt behaved himself while I was at work, he has a new bed in my daughters room and seems happy to sleep in there while we out. Thought it best to keep the dogs separate when we are not home as we have had a few grumbles over the beds downstairs, they all want to go on the same one at the same time lol!! Getting on great at all other times though so the future is looking good for Bolt and his forever home, just hope he enjoys living with as much we love having him here!! Anyone who would like to say hi to Bolt again, we will all be coming along to the BBQ on 30th, I'm sure he would like to say thank you to all those who have looked after him at daybreaks!! He will also be enjoying a spa treatment along with his new brother & sister and to make the day even more memorable we are hoping we can change his light to rehomed!! Xxxx

DAY 4 & looking on course for Bolt to have finally found his forever home!!
No grunts or growls today & all 3 are getting on famously!
He is definitely a food monster so u have to watch where u leave any unattended food but with a firm 'NO' he leaves it & thats about as negative as it gets!
We have all fallen in love with him so final test will be how he gets on when I'm in work tomorrow & the rest of the week, fingers crossed he will be a good boy, can't imagine him being anything else xxx
I've heard of buy 1 get 1 free Mrs Boswell but never buy a bag of burns & get a grey, this is the 2nd time it's happened to me!!

Bolt met our other 2 greys, Honey & Rebel, last night & they got on great! Slept through the night & is incredibly friendly & loving with the whole family, if it carries on like this Bolt had found his forever home!! Thank u Ruth for introducing us & for giving so much of your time last night, I think it will be a perfect match!!! Xxx

Bolt is coming back to the kennels on Sunday.Bolt was the perfect guest if anyone wants a ready made companion and friend then look no further Bolt is the one for you. He's loving,clean in the house,knows the word NO,eats well even when with other hounds, sleeps through the night, will be left. Sadly things were not working out for Bolt and he is coming back to the kennels. Caroline, one of our volunteers, has kindly agreed to foster him until he can come back to the kennels and I have heard from her this morning that he has been very settled overnight and been a pleasure to have.... we need to find this fabulous fella a home as soon as we can.....

Bolt spent the weekend at the kennels but sadly didn't find his forever home but he had a lovely bath and was pampered. He is a lovely boy, so friendly and he does tricks too! Hopefully he will be at the kennels again this weekend, so if you are looking for a gentle, house trained and loving companion bolt is the dog for you.

I was Bolt's owner, he is currently being looked after by my mum. I'm devastated to have to let him go, but he really does deserve to have a good home. He's the best dog ever! I know the Daybreaks kennels are full of lovely cuddly dogs but please consider Bolt too. He is the loveliest and the cuddliest.
