Vera has setlled in really well. She is a big fan of our bed! She is a little gem so gentle and lovable she setlled in almost straight away. She is really helping us with Tessa's confidence around the house. Such beautiful girls. We are so happy we are lucky enough to look after them and have them as the big part that was missing from our family.

Wishing Minty and Tessa lots of happiness in their new home. I am sure Sylv would be so pleased to know they have a home together. Marvellous. Xxx

I am noticing such a change so quickly in the girls.... they have settled into their new routine so well and they seem much more relaxed and happy with plenty of tail wagging now! They were a bit stressed going up to the kennels yesterday although they had fun in the run (thanks Sara for taking their photos). I took them to the vets yesterday for their boosters and they were great in the waiting room with a Jack Russell and Labrador. I retested them with the cats but they are definitely not cat friendly :-(

If you would like to come and visit Minty or Tessa outside of kennel hours with a view to offering them a home, I only live in Yardley (for a short while now!) so please give me a call if you are interested. They do not need to be homed together..... Many thanks Ruth 07760617287

I brought the beautiful Minty and Tess home with me last night. They were quite stressed but did settle and I only got up once in the night to reassure them both.

They have eaten well this morning and are getting on really well with the Boswell crew. I will try to keep them at home until they find their new homes which I hope will be very soon. Well we have got there, Minty's tail is undressed after all this time and problems. Looking at it you would not know she had lost some of it. It's thanks to Andre for all of this, and its wagging like never before.

Minty had again had to return to the vet's as she pulled the dressing off, after the vet had renewed on Wed 2nd. So Saturday was a busy day. She is to return on the 11th July.

Oh dear...poor Minty. Really hope all goes well on Wednesday. They are such a worry and it doesn't get any easier with time what with the extra worry about the anaesthetic. I'm sure she will be well looked after though. Our Lola fared well after her anaesthetic recently and she's just 2 days younger than your girl (happy birthday to Minty for yesterday) so fingers and paws crossed that you all have a similar experience on Wednesday xx

So sorry to hear this. My Norman had only part of his tail amputated after sn accident. Well the end was damged and he had just over 6 inches removed as he hed kink in his tail and they thought it was broken so took tbat much off. I had a s scare with Stevie at the weekend with his tail right near the top. He must knocked it on the wall. Without going into great detail it was like the Texas chainsaw massacre. Managed to dress and stop the bleeding. All looks good now. Good luck to Minty. Xxx

Well our lovely girl had to go to the vet's again today. But sorted this time. Still remains a mystery how all this has happened. We found around 2" of her tail and with an attachment, we thought could be a ligament, but having taken it to the vet's it's 'wire' and so fine . Where from????

Lovely Minty suffered an accident to the tail early evening, we just don't know how it happened but the amount of blood around the house was well shocking. Well we know her vet would be at Perry Barr Racing, so contacted Ruth for help. Greatly received although I was taken unwell at the time due to what was happening. So John ended up taking care of her and me. After leaving a message for Andre, he came back to us and asked we take over to the track. He took good care of her and will see her next week.

Our lovely girl, has had to go for more dental work this morning. She has now returned home, doing her usual not speaking, but will be fine soon.(What with her age & soon no teeth left). Thanks to Andre and staff for her care.

Well we are fine & I hope you & Twiggy are well. The girls are fine although Flossie was a little strange for a few weeks after the loss of Mindy & she took to her mums bed & that's her's now.
Although some weeks ago we were contacted by the vet who asked if we would foster a g/hound with a smashed leg,
she is well behaved & the other two take little notice of her, it appears she had just come over from Ireland & while in the kennel was found hanging with the smashed leg. Although she has to be confined, things are improving & the vet is very pleased with her progress, at 20 mths she's done well but I don't think she will be back in racing kennels.

Hi All, Did anyone else see early Sky News this Sunday morning, re Racing G/hounds. There was G/hound
Action, RGT Hall Green & Annette Crosbie abount the no. of g/hounds coming to the track & then the no. needing rehoming. (RGT Perry Barr should have been there are well).

Minty (ex.Vera) attended the Pet Blood Bank this morning, she is wearing her bandage with pride, we also had the pleasure of meeting Martin. Hope Minty will be of help to all other dog's in there time of need.

Sorry for the delay,but we had to have Georgie pts.,10days ago but Minty's coming on, no problems on the toilet front , springing & bounding this afternoon. I was in the G/house & she was like a spring lamb spring all over the garden & taking to digging in the borders. SYLV

All went o.k.at the vet tonight all clear and she is happy!!

Well just to let you know, Minty (ex Vera) is not a happy camper after her op., she also had a few teeth removed. She will be fine in a couple of days, going to the vet's again on Friday.

Minty is such a gentle lady, although last night we did have an accident on the toilet front, she has taken to John when he leaves for work she is crying but getting less & less, I feel she has been in a house before for one or two reason but particularly she's not bothered by the vacum as my two other grey's were at first. Such a lovely lady.

Just let you know Minty very good girl, but very bad news on the Georgie front with her leg (a tumour) will have to decide what next.

Vera now Minty is settleing in well has taken to a pink flamingo (not a real one) no problem at night or with Georgie and no toilet problems she has let us know she wants to go out every time.
