Hi Auntiedawn
I met your mum and Darcy at the Summer Party at the kennels in June. She's a lovely lady and I wish her a very speedy recovery. She clearly loves Darcy to bits as well so she has a really good incentive for her recuperation. Best wishes from Linda & Lola (Lass)

Hi Ruth and everyone just an update on Darcy (Southlodge Ruby) Mum and Darcy have been doing really well and you couldnt ask for a better grey.
However on the 21st July this year mum left Darcy for the afternoon to go on a trip with the womens fellowship group to Whitlenge Gardens at Hartlebury. Mum was involved in a major car accident that afternoon, which meant she did not return to Darcy, It was coinsidental that myself, my husband and our daughter Charlotte was in the area as Charlotte needed the toilet. We went to mums it was about 5.45pm to find Darcy their waiting for tea!!!! I thought mum was running late, so we fed Darcy and let her into the garden. I was just writing mum a note to let her know ,as i knew she would be freting over Darcy when the call came through that mum had been in a car accident and had been taken to Worcester Royal Hosiptal. Mum was ok but had a broken pelvis and sterman and recovery would be 8-12 weeks. Darcy is now staying and Auntie Dawns hotel!! mum spent 2 weeks at hospital and 4 weeks at Gilbert Court in Bromsgrove, Mum returned home on Wednesday this Week (1st Sept) after 6 weeks. Darcy is still with me as mum needs to find her sea legs before having Darcy back. Darcy shares Auntie Dawns Hotel with 13 Rabbits!! This has been a trial but now goes in garden without thinking ahh Rabbit Breakfast, Dinner and Tea!!! Darcy has also been on Holiday camping in Brean and was a compelte Star , loved the sand and sea and had a good run off the lead round the dog exercise field. (had a few treats at hand incase she didnt come back!! but she did!!) When mum has her back she may need some help with exercising Darcy so any volunteers are welcome!!! All for now will keep you all posted love Darcy and Auntie Dawn xx

Dear All,
Darcy doing really well (after my moms fright) She now has a throw over the chair downstairs, and seems happy to sleep there all night. She is doing better at breakfast, and has found some energy to have a mad run in the garden!! We will no doubt see some of you at Crufts as my mom is treating me for my birthday on the Sunday, my husband (Martin) will be dog sitting at ours!!!! It will be the first time that Darcy will meet all our rabbits. Lets hope she doesnt have breakfast, dinner and tea!!! xx

Oh bless her.. she obviously likes her home comforts ! Our Male Grey is very fussy with breakfast, we tried everything when he first came home, weetabix, porridge toast, eggs etc he wouldnt touch them... his favourite thing for breakfast is (apart from sausages ) peanut butter on toast and it has to be sainsburys own peanut butter, no other ones will do .. Im not jokeing ! he will not touch the other ones, and the toast has to be right if its slighty too over done - you can forget it ! Hopefully Ruby is not going to be a fussy eater! But try her with some peanut butter they do love it ! X

Mom had panic stations on Monday morning Darcy (Ruby) wouldnt get up in the morning off her bed, no amount of asking , treats or CHEESE would do it. Has anyone ever had a grey that wont get up in the mornings!!!!! Mom thought something was serouisly wrong with her , as she was only speyed 5 days before, and phoned Jill. Once Jill had arrived and Jill and mom had a chat, Jill went up the stairs and with that Darcy appeared at the top as if nothing was wrong!! The little tinker!!! Jill checked her all over but she seemed to be fine, Darcy is a little off her breakfast but eats her main meal fine. Oh well Darcy must be like the rest of us when it comes to mornings, and would rather stay in BED!!!!

Ruby now Darcy came to stay at my mom's for a few days to see how they both got on and mom could manage her alright. Darcy was fantastic she had no accidents at all, my mom walked her out saturday for the first time with me and she was great ,even when she saw a cat!!! ( She is yet to meet my 14 Rabbits including a British Giant god help me!!!) Darcy didnt eat for the first day and a half but has since eaten everything she likes sausages, sardines and grated cheese mixed in with her meal!!! Not sure who eats the best Darcy or my mom!! Darcy got very excited when my brother and family visited the children were pinned to the armchair by her(in a nice way not nastily, just playful) She has gone to Ruth today as she is to be speyed tomorrow (Thurs) we hope all goes well and we will pick her up on Saturday for Good!!! Love to you our beautiful girl xxxx
