I am absolutely heartbroken, I received a message from Denise telling me that her beautiful little shining Star gained her wings and crossed Rainbow Bridge this morning. She will be greatly missed on Wednesdays at the kennels by us all. Sending love and hugs to Denise and Charlie Cheesecake. Shine bright gods newest precious Angel. Xx

Hi Clareb - it is fantastic news that Star is doing much better. It is thought that it may have been a stroke triggered by her stress of being at the vets..... she is hoping to be discharged today so keep your fingers crossed as she has regained movement in her legs and is able to stand now :-)))))

Is there any update on star? I've been thinking about her and her family.

It's worth a look at canine-health-concern who were set up when two of their dogs died of illnesses which they suspected were connected to routine vaccinations. My vet has done a anecdotal research and has found that of 4000 dogs over 80% developed serious illness- auto-immune problems, cancers, arthritis, epilepsy etc within 3 months of their vaccinations and that includes death :( . Oh no thinking of you and Star.

Poor Star - she went for her booster yesterday morning. Denise her owner then popped up to the kennels to get Star's nails cut - unfortunately, we couldn't get her out of Denise's van as she had collapsed and had difficulty breathing so we rushed her to the vets. After several hours of trying to stabilise her, she is still a very poorly girl with only movement of her head and was transferred for overnight care to a vets in Coventry. I am praying for good news this morning and I will keep you posted x
