Just an update on meg and diesal. Meg is now off the lead and has been since july. She lisens when called and never leaves my sight. She loves to run round in cirles (like shes still on the track) =) ... Diesal loves having Meg around he has showed her how to be lazy in the house!!! Meg was unfortuanlty attacked by another dog in elmdon park but she has now fully recovered. Her coat is now near enough perfect and the attack has done nothing to her amazing personality. she truely is a beautiful little star. i would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at day breaks and sue for all your support and help through the difficult months.

Thank you to the new owners of Flash - now Megan. She is a lovely girl and we were sorry to lose her as a racer. Always happy and very friendly. Have a happy life.

Lovely news that Diesel has taken to Flash & this may go to some way help over the loss to both of you of Braken, although she will be forever in your hearts.

Flash has settled very well,Diesel is much happier with a new lady in his life and we are changing her name to Megan
Lovely girl not naughty but very cheeky and comical and loves walking and eating and playing with her toys.The squirrels in Elmdon park torment the life out of her but for now they are safe as she stays on the lead,she is fine with other dogs and people and a real bonus is she is clean in the house,thanks to all at the kennels for letting us know about her she really is a little star xx

Flash is loving life every thing is an adventure and cant wait to see were or what she is doing next. Cats and squirrels, mirrors, microwaves,are all still some thing to get use to. Flash helps around the house plumping cushion and shreading plastic bags ( helping with the recycling )some times the shoes just need to have a quick chew just to let them know who is boss

She is looking forward to meeting Diesel fingers crossed

Sunday (day 15 in her foster home)

Flash has been in the house now for the last seven days after the caravan holiday. Still no accidents (remarkable) and has settled well. She is recovering from her mid-week spaying but also yesterday needed a bandage on the end of her tail after some over-enthusiastic wagging.

She is interested in our cat who isn’t too keen but we had a similar situation when we brought our first grey home two years ago. After a time settling in and a scratched nose the two eventually got on and now tolerate each other and sometimes even play and share the fire. This needs some work and patience but Flash seems to be more interested in something new that moves and makes strange noises rather than showing aggression (presumably there are not many cats at racing kennels!) and the two have been kept apart.

She is very talkative and enthusiastic when the leads come off the hook. She walks nicely on a lead and has been loose in an enclosed field.

Smashing little girl. Hope she finds a home soon.

Tuesday - day 4 in her foster (holiday) home.

Flash settled in pretty much straight away and has slept well in a crate for the last three nights. She didn’t stir during the three hour trip to Wales the morning after she came away from Daybreaks.

No accidents at all in either the house or the caravan (unlike our two when they moved in). Flash has met and been on walks with some non-greys and has been no trouble at all.

What a lovely hound. I hope she soon finds her forever home. In the meantime she is enjoying her holiday and sleeping a lot.
