Beautiful little girl, very friendly with people and dogs. Would suit an older couple due to an injury that requires her to have limited exercise.

Gemma has had 0 cuddles today (30 all together).
If you register or login, you can give her a cuddle too!

You look wonderfully comfortable on that sofa with your new friend. Sounds like you have a lovely cheeky personality, like my Belle who loves to empty the ironing basket, washing machine ete lol xxx Hope your forever home arrives soon xxxx

Gemma is really doing well in her foster home - as you can see from the new photo - she is very settled indeed! Judy tells us she is house trained already and has slotted into home life really well. If you are interested, please give us a call!

Gemma has gone off to her foster home in Rugby today with my friend Judy. She has already emptied their bathroom of towels, sponges and flannels - been running up and down the stairs and jumping on and off the beds!!!! I think they are going to invest in a stairgate! So much for being delicate and 'disabled'! She has slotted in with Judy's amazing family of dogs and so far, all is well! x

Oh Sara, I agree, she is such a poppet - I think she should be called Mary (Poppins) as she is practically perfect in every way!

I mentioned having Gemma to Tony, he said "I don't want another dog" I tried to reassure him that I didn't want another one and that we would only have her for a week...he then played his trump card and replied "Yes, but you said that about Penny as well!" Hmmm, sorry Ruth, I tried...hope someone fabulous will have Gemma for the week xxxx

I know what you mean Emma, I was putting the guilt trip on Stefano last night too. He agreed as well, as long as he could work from home while she was with us, but then he looked at his diary and unfortunately he's got a heavy work load that week and didn't think it would be fair for her to be at home in a strange place for the time that our two are used to. Hmm, if only my Mom and Dad wanted their own Greyhound - she would be perfect! Mand x

We would love to give Gemma a short break, she met our grey James and they got on very well, we have fosterd Zion for the morning and he has been a dream. I can see he will be firm friends with James and we r looking forward to fostering him (and possibly Gemma) for a week! :)

My hubby (who either ignores me or shuts me up with a stern "NO!" when I talk about a kennel dog, which I admit is quite often) actually agreed that Gemma could have a holiday here! Triumphant for all of 5 mins, I then realised that we're away for one of the days so she can't come afterall :0( Nevermind, it seems that there's already lots of lovely people offering her a restful recuperation elsewhere :0) Em x

Ruth - do u think she wud fit in with our 2 mad dogs (well mad Toby and sane Little Jo) and cope with being left at home wen they went walkies ? Is she up 4 walks at all or just wandering round the garden wen she wants ?

Oh little Gemma, hope someone can give you a little holiday! I would love to help and know Roxy would love the company but we're moving out over that week so know it would be too unsettling for a gorgeoous girl who just wants some rest. I'm sure you'll be no trouble for whoever opens their home, no matter how briefly. xxx

hi ruth, if you dont find anyone to have her that week, my mum said she can stay at ours for the week to look after her.

I am appealing for a short term foster home for Gemma whilst Daybreaks are closed from 4th June for one week. Gemma has a previous hip injury which means she has to have very limited exercise at the moment and a low bed. I am trying to prevent her from being transfered to Barkinn Kennels (where all the Trust dogs are going whilst Daybreaks are closed) to help with her recouperation. She is an adorable little girl - great with other greys and clean in her kennel. She is happy to be left and is very quiet. Please give me a call if you think you can help. Ruth 0121 782 7702
