Ted grew his wings today at home surrounded by his family after a short (less than four weeks) battle with a Tumour in his shoulder. he will be missed so very much by us and his greyhound sister Minnie .He left Daybreaks a very quite boy after being returned but he left us a bouncy stubborn boy even on his last morning he wanted to go for a walk and then realising he couldn't walk he refused to move for the car boot till he had been taken for a drive .thank you all for letting us have the pleasure of his short time with us we loved him so much rest in peace my beautiful Teddy bear xx

We'll I've been here at my house for just over a year now we'll pet mum say not officially till January 2nd and I'd just like to say I'm very happy here with my family even when Minnie moo gets grumpy I just ignore her just like when I get told of for telling the whole house there's a fox outside at 2am ,3 am and then 4 am at least once a week .i love going for walks with my pet dad and I love to kiss my pet sister I love all the treats and toys I get upset if nobody plays with me and my toys .i hope you all have a very happy christmas and a brilliant new year and everyone finds their forever sofa very soon black dogs are the BEST p.s don't tell Minnie I said black dogs are the best as she's blue and will get grumpy knowing I'm the best woof woof

When I found out the kennels didn't have any Easidri coats at the moment, we got ours on-line from Pets at Home (£40 each for the medium size, so quite a good price compared to other on-line retailers). Even better, if you join their VIP club they sent your a 10% off voucher (very handy when you're ordering two coats!!) and you can nominate a charity to earn Lifelines for whenever you swipe your VIP club card in store. Hi Ted, please tell your Mum we are really sorry but we don't have any of the easidri coats at the kennels at the moment. If she wants to order one from their website the size she needs is Medium, the large will be too big for you as the velcro strap will be too long...I think you are right if Minnie has one then so should you! Teds had a very nice 7th birthday today he has had great fun with his new monkey toy playing fetch in the garden with it as well as trying to destroy it he's now in his fav place on the sofa asleep love you teddybear x even Minnie has been very nice to Ted today wanting to play chase in the garden

How silly I am. I have looked at the photo and of course I remember you. I am over 150 miles away so I don't go to see Julie either. Good to hear he is following Minnie! I think when he's more settled he will improve.All the changes have probably spooked him a bit. And the cheese is bound to help. Xx

Thanks misfifi for the advice I will try to ignore it when it happens he was a good boy on his walk this evening once I got him going he realised Minnie was going without him he dragged me down the road which my hubby found funny its only a big problem when crossing the road Me and Minnie met you and daisy at Julie's training class a couple of time we find it quite difficult to get to Julie's class at moment as only one of me and two dogs thanks for the advice think I will be taking cheese with me from now on he's been in a home for two year previous but was bought back because of a change in the family circumstances so he may just be finding his feet bless him love him so much he loves my daughter so much she calls him teddy bear

I have lots of experiences like this with Daisydog. For Daisy its a sight and sound thing which has improved a lot in the 14 months I have had her. Taking treats with you is a great idea. And sometimes just waiting without moving for a few minutes. Pulling doesn't work or help! Walking round in a circle sometimes does!A movement in the distance can spook her but sometimes her refusal is inexplicable. The tt wrap helped but was not a perfect solution. She used to be just like a statue not budging a muscle. Mostly it was a man in the distance that spooked her or a strange noise or smell. But sometimes she just didn't fancy moving. Quiet and opens spaces suit her better. She is much worse when their are people or cars or activity. I just go with the flow. She does the statue thing less frequently now but it will always be with her. She rarely does it when I walk her with her greyhound chum Katie. There are some great ttouch massage techniques that can help - ask auntie ruth for Julie the fabulous trainers details -as getting stuck halfway round a walk is not fun! For Daisydog it was just a matter of time and love and patience. Sometimes I push her a little (not literally) and sometimes I don't. And I try not to make a big deal of it because all that happens is that my anxiety transfers to her. For the first three months all she wanted to do was jump back into the safety of the car or get back to the house. Both were safe and familiar. Maybe have a look at some of my earlier posts on Daisydog to get an idea of how she has changed. The world is so scary and new and loud so hang on in there for Ted to see what a lucky boy he is. Hi wonder if anyone has any advice about ted when out on walks he sometimes refuses to move as much as you tempt with treats pushing pulling fusses he refuses to go that way the pushing and pulling was when he was on half on the kerb half on the road scary luckily not a busy road Only way to get him to move is to go back the way you come any advice would be helpful as this morning we only got to the bottom of our drive before I had to return home only being able to get him out after having to get my daughter to come with us

Wow what a difference a dental makes in the past two daysted has barked at the door when someone knocked has decided when he can't get in Minnie's bed that Emily's lap makes a great place to lay your head and has started playing with toys today much to Minnie's disgust at having to share she keeps giving him evil stares but no growling

Hope Ted is feeling better this evening. So lovely to hear Minnie missed him and was very happy to see him, I am sure she is being a good nurse. Xxx

Ted had his dental yesterday he only lost one tooth which was surprising if you saw his teeth he has a bit of receding gum which means lost of teeth brushing in the future he's had a bit of a unsettled night and has decided he does not like scrambled egg but would rather eat weatabix and then tried to get in on Minnie's dinner .minnie was so pleased to see him when he came back from the vets she ignored me

Ted here just to let you know Im settling down very nicely here my sister Minnie no longer growls only if I try to sit on her bed when she's in it but I did sit on her head yesterday and she never moved pet mum had to recuse her I'm still not that keen on strangers till I know them mum pet say I'm a good boy and santa is going to come for me tomorrow with lots of treats to eat Dad pet says I'm a very good boy and Minnie should be like me so I guess I'm pet dads favourate good luck to all my friends in kennels I hope you find new homes very very soon merry christmas and a happy new year to all of you with four legs and two were going to come to kennels after christmas to complete my paperwork xxxx

Well what can I say be lol help I've lost the sofa to the dogs I have ted sat one end and Minnie the other I'm currently sat on the dog bed someone might as well us it they are getting on great couple of grumbles from Minnie last night as she wanted to decided which bed she wanted to sleep on new or old Ted is eating really really well he's leant that when you have been in the garden for a pit stop you get treats so guess who keeps wanting to go out lol x

Ted is with us for the weekend to see how Minnie and him get on so far not to bad Minnie's only growl when he tried to join her on the sofa but he soon retreated mind you I think I would have growled if someone was trying to sit on me . They both now have their muzzles off ted is flaked out by the sofa and Minnie on the sofa which i find funny as there is now two rather large unused dog bed in the frontroom they have had fun in the garden Minnie really wanted ted to chase her and play but ted wanted to sniff everywhere Ted really likes my husband he cried when he popped out fingers crossed everything continues this way

I was very sad to see that he had been returned, when we first came to daybreaks we fell in love wth dan but sadly he failed his cat test so we couldn't rehome him and had our joey instead! Glad he has been reserved and hope he is happy in his new home x

We had the pleasure of walking Ted down the lane today. He was a little quiet in the kennel but once out on his walk his personality shone through and he is lovely. Keen at first but soon settled down and we had some serious behind the ear scratching when we got back and he loved it!

Totally agree with LadyVictoria. Ted is such a lovely boy. He was apparently stressing quite a bit before me n my boys got there at lunch time but within just 10 minutes or so of meeting Charlie n Louis ( non greys although I think Louis is starting to believe he is one lol) Ted was unmuzzled n lying in between them having a sleep. I do hope he's rehomed again very soon. X

Ted is a gorgeous boy. He spent the afternoon sharing the kitchen with Sara's Charlie and Louis; he was brilliant with them. Hope he won't have to wait too long for a new home to come his way. Xxx

Sadly due to a change of personal circumstances Ted (Dan) has been returned today. His owner would like to say he has been a joy to have around. He is very placid and is fine to be left on his own during the day. He will be a wonderful addition to anyones family.

I cannot say how pleased I am about Dan..... he has been in the kennels since August so is our longest stayer (next in line to Lucy). He is so quiet in his kennel, clean and gentle but pulls when he is out on his walks and used to jump about at other dogs but has calmed down a lot from doing this. The family who are having him are lovely and he is going to become the best friend for their son..... just lovely :-)

Yay!!! I'm SO glad Dan has been reserved he was at the kennels for far too long :) He is a lovely boy and will make a great companion.

It is very sad dan is still at the kennels, he is a very loving boy and very quiet. He is strong on his lead but a harness has helped this and with training that will get better, he is a lovely boy xxxxxx

I picked this fella up direct from the vets tonight after he had been neutered. He has had quite a few teeth out so he is bleeding a bit and was feeling sorry for himself but soon perked up when he saw our chickens!
