Glad he is doing so well. His set menu sounds very fancy...and I bet he gets lots of treats too! Who could resist those big, puppy dog eyes...

Well, this lad has certainly landed on his paws! He has settled in well and is getting used to his set menu..... yes.... set menu! He has tuna on a Monday, steak on a Tuesday, grated cheese on a Wednesday etc.... :-)

He is a truly pampered pooch now and I am grateful to Rachel and Vince for giving him a chance after he had waited at Daybreaks for so long.

Yay, Hesky's got a new home. Hurrah!

I agree Deb - he loves to cuddle and when people go to look at him maybe they should think about going on his kennel? As he doesn't really com to people in the run.....

Hi Jess I think we should start a Hesky fan club he is lovely and if only he would push himself forward a bit more when people are choosing a dog he wouldn't be overlooked.
He is quite small for a boy and really does like his cuddles.

becky, i soooo agree with that. When we first had Phil, even though he had been a winning, money making racer, he arrived at our house flea ridden, virtually bald except along his back, and with a pressure sore on his right rump. Now he reminds me of Liv Tyler in the Pantene advert ! Black boys are very handsome, when they receive a little TLC xx

Need the handsome black boys to find homes as quickly as the tans and brindles etc. Once they are in a home their glossy black coats really stand out when they lose their kennel coat and make them look gorgeous. My lovely black lad Sam is sooooo stunning xxxx

That is very true.i can't wait to see a red/green sign on this boy iv never met him but just love the look and sound of him but can't have another grey just yet,but I do love Hesky and Katie,wish I had space for them

Recently, i've been thinking partly about Hesky and generally about all of the wonderful dogs that pass through your rehoming kennels. In our house, we've got a place in our heart and, with a bit of moving furniture round, an extra space on the sofa for another greyhound (at some point soon, in the next couple of months, hopefully)
What clicked to me the other day though.... when a person takes one of your dogs to their new forever home, well then there'll be another space for yet another needy dog at Daybreaks. So, in effect by adopting one dog you are, in essence, giving a life and some much needed hope to two dogs. Now that really IS a feelgood factor ! :O)

Hesky is a very calm boy he doesn't jump up, pull on the lead, he loves a cuddle and the shine on his coat is starting to come through on his coat and to add all to that he is not the biggest boy at the kennels

Hesky is such a lovely boy so why has nobody fallen for him yet? maybe is is not 'pushy' enough when people come to visit, he is such a gentle boy he would not push himself forward...so whoever is out there looking for a hound go and say hello to Hesky he will be so pleased to see you and would love to come home with you. xxx

I walked Heskey on Wednesday and had a lovely snuggle with him today. He was good as gold on the lead and is a real cuddle monster. He is small for a male, and the shine is just starting to come through on his coat. He has the sweetest face and beautiful eyes, and took his treats so gently. Please don't overlook this chap if you are thinking of homing, if I didn't already have my quota I'd of signed him up like a shot.

I agree with stephers Hesky is a calm, not too tall and he may look a bit scruffy at the kennels now because he has a kennel coat but that will go and he will have a nice glossy coat

Had the pleasure of meeting this young man yesterday when Jill gave him his "welcome to Daybreaks bath". Definately not bath friendly but towel friendly oh yes! Even in a bath with water he still stayed on his feet better than his namesake at Villa!!

He looks fab, his racing name suits him.....'Hansomis' as he is sooooo handsome xxxxx
