Well Jed went down a storm at the Chasewater event!! Big shout out to Denny, Lachlan, George, Macca, Lexi, Honey, Minnie & Jed for a marvellous performance which proved very entertaining while raising awareness of these beautiful Greys!! Also to the humans....none of us fell over hooray!!!
So, what we've learned today: Jed can dance, is happy surrounded by lots of different dogs & he loooooves liver ;-) xxx

Hi!! Just back from a bank holiday trip to South Wales where Jed & Minnie have been off having fun on the beach! Jed has made so much progress since we last took him- he meets so many different dogs there & there's footballs galore but he was fabulous!! Although he cries a bit when he meets other dogs (don't forget he cries at most things bless him!!) he sniffed, said hello and was a real gent!! So proud of him :-)

I ended up 'fostering' after I helped my friend out with her grey, Belle- I took Belle home with me for 3 days as she was ill & needed to eat so she could take her medicine. Then after she went to her forever home Ruth said her kennel mate was very unhappy & not eating & would I take him home.....Jed's been here since then & Im happy for him to stay until someone can offer him a home! Going back to the kennels might set him back & he's made so much progress so he's here until a forever home can be found!! So really it was by accident but it was something I was definitely interested in doing & it's very rewarding!! Xxx

Hey Juliagoolia, thanks for replying. Yes, Adams head does swell at times when he is recognised! Re Jed, when I met him I thought what a sweet gentle chap. So cute to read about him and what he has done, your right about his eyes, how did you get to Foster him? XXXX

Hi Bella it was lovely to meet you both (not to mention Adam being a celebrity!!!) I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have so post them on here & I'll help wherever I can. He is such a daft, gentle, soppy lad & his gorgeous eyes make your heart melt (cheese alert!!) we've just got back from training & he did well so there's progress already! I'm not kidding you, he even line danced!!!! Such a talented chap!! Xxxx

Jed sounds and looks so sweet. Am quite keen as you've said re the socialising and children info. We are looking at girls and boys, Ruth has said to pop along on Sunday lunch time. Really cant wait to meet Jed now and his mates! XXXX

Hi Bella, we have socialised Jed during walks & he is very interested to meet other breeds & enjoys meeting them! He does have a little cry at first but Jed has a little cry at most things bless him!! He's good with children & needs to know his place with them from day 1! I think he'd like the company of other dogs so your gang might just suit him!! We've taken Jed to some training classes & he's learning the basics there too! Hope this helps x

Well after having trouble logging in all week I'm finally back on & can update you on Jed's progress!! 
He's been with us just over 2 weeks and what a change we've seen!! From hardly eating anything, he now gobbles his feeds up & loves a bit of chicken, oily fish or even patè mixed in! His coat is looking much better and he's clean in the house with only the occasional accident! 
He responds to his name now & comes to you for cuddles, kisses & fuss :-) He has a huge love of footballs & squeaky toys & plays well with them. 
He is such a gentle lad who is a real softy & adores the company of people. He is good with children & can take a good over enthusiastic squeeze or two! He can be more playful with older children but responds well to firm commands. 
 We have been able to leave him for long periods, although this is with our greyhound Minnie. He does show some anxiety when he is left (mostly crying) but so far there have been no major signs of distress like destruction or soiling. 
JimBobsMom- as we are looking after him he is not at the kennels but we can bring him over for you to meet & take for a walk :-) xx

after looking after jed for a week to get him eating and a bit more settled and relaxed he is doing really well. 
We are just off down to south Wales with him to give him a bit of a break and a run on the beach. We will give an up date on his progress and how he gets on.

We have been looking after this wonderful boy since last wednesday as he wasnt eating and finding life without his kennel mate difficult. Well what a difference a bit of love and attention can make. He is doing great and now eating all his food. He has really changed in a week,lets start from the begining. On Wednesday he was shy, nervous and very on edge well not anymore! He is eating all his food, loves his walks and cant wait to get out, he is very gentle on the lead great with other dogs. The other day I took him to the park, he was crying at this dog & pulling on the lead I thought it was the dog he was after oh no it was the football the dog was playing with, he wanted to play too, Jed loves chasing the football in the garden & even brings it back to you to throw again, he is great with young childen and loves all the attention he gets even follwing you to get some more love. He has seen a few cats on his walks but hasnt reacted, just stands and stairs. Hes been great when we have left him for a few hours just sleeping till we return,Jed has been clean in the house & has got in to routine of going to the garden even letting us know if he needs to go out. This boy is going to make a great addition to a home with lots of love to give. It has been great to see the change in him since last week, hes doing really well & is now enjoying his retirement. Jed gets my cuddle today. x

It's a pleasure to help! He's still only taking small amounts but I think he will soon be munching away!! He mastered the stairs today & lives to lie on the landing for a bit of piece & quiet! He'll also lie at our feet if we're on the sofa :-) He enjoys going for a zoom around in the garden & has enjoyed his walks too-he's very good on the lead! We've met a few other dogs (Inc small fluffies) & he's been interested to look but not lunged for them. He's paid little attention to the cats he's met, he's more of a squirrel kinda guy! He's loving, clean in the house & loves a tickle under the chin....perfect!! X

Just arrived home with my next foster-hound Jed. So far he LOVES the garden, doesn't seem bothered by the TV, doesn't do stairs (yet), will eat small quantities of food with a bit of something delicious in it & enjoys a good stretch out on the floor!! Minnie has her air of self-importance as she shows him the ropes!! He's lovely & gentle just needs love-wish us luck!! X
