Happy Birthday dearest Joe Joe. We miss you more than words can express. We think about you every day and so wish I you were still here with us. I go to your grave in the garden and have a chat with you about Belle and Arthur and what a shit Fire can still be. I do hope you have found Blue and Abbey over the Bridge and maybe even David's Best Mate. Miss you boy so much, I love you so much. Big hugs big fella. Rest in peace xxxx

like many others I have shed more than a few tears today gone before his time only a short retirement but what a retirement.Loved to pieces by his mum and dad,his ups and downs shared with his many admirers on both side of the channel a home and life that most dogs can only dream of .Joe was a very very lucky boy and you must be heartbroken but what a life you gave him he has moved from one doggy heaven to another.Love to you all and cherish your wonderful memories of an amazing boy. This was emailed to me by one of her friends who spent Wed night cuddling him. "

What can I say, so so sorry - and he looked so well last night.

He was the sweetest dog and against all the odds you saved him.

As you know I would have given up a lot earlier. He had a great

time with you and had more love than most dogs get in a whole

lifetime. He will be so fondly remembered by everyone who

met him. Take care you guys and although at the moment you

can't get past this, you will in time start remembering to good times.

I'll call you in a couple of days.

Bless you both and all the dogs XX"

Joe I have given you my cuddle tonight, it was heart breaking to read the post by your family, take comfort that Joe knew he was loved and had a amazing retirement with love from all his brothers, sisters and family, Joe will always be there in your hearts and as duleek dandy said you never forget the special times, once you have lost a special one it breaks your heart to hear when others have passed, I am really very sorry for your loss.

Joe Joe was buried this afternoon in his favourite blanket with his favourite cushion. I don't know what to say about how much we loved this boy, how we nurtured him after his accident, the joy he bought to our lives, how he made us laugh with his cushion antics and how he used to ask for treats. The pure joy he gave us, he will be so so missed by us, his puppy and human friends who loved his gentleness. Excuse the language but we are feeling really shit. God we miss him so much.

This is the biggest sloppiest dog. So affectionate, eats like he is never going to get fed again, follows me everywhere, does pull a bit on his walks at the start and then settles. I adore this boy, he has made such a great addition to our family. His big brown eyes just make you give in and want to hug him.

What a lovely video. Brings a lump to your throat seeing them enjoying themselves and having a blast in the garden too. Love your dainty little girl though, who thought better of the race and tried to keep out of the wind instead! Mand x

Joe is one fabulous dog and reminds us a little of our first grey, Blue, he is laid back and chilled out most of the time, except when he sees you first thing in the morning and goes bonkers and when we have been out. His only naughty habit, digging the garden up! We can forgive him anything though.

We are so lucky to have this boy, he is a delight, so laid back, not nervous of strangers and now less interested in the chickens but the sheep and lamb are still a big puzzle to him.

Joe is getter better and now getting used to settling in the living room in front of the fire in the evening. Unfortunately the toy he came with has been stolen by Fire and nigh on destroyed! We are going to get some more robust toys. He still hasn't learnt about not running at the chicken tractors but he will get used to them but is enjoying all the space to run in and all the sights and smells on his walks.

My Jojo
Very handsome boy. His a lovely grey, who loves attention and fuss. Will stand there and let you groom him and clean ears/teeth. Walks well on the lead, doesn't pull :) . Once he settles down he won't be shy, his true nature will come through. He does bark when its meal time but settles down once his being fed. He was an excellent runner and really loved his racing so he deserves a loving forever retired home :)
I'm sure you won't be here long my boy
xxxxxx
