Sadly Gemma has crossed the rainbow bridge, at least not suffering any further. Had been diagnosed with lymphoma and although still had some spark - odd dash across the lawn - Tim & Sue (her humans) and Stanley (grey) were with her. God bless. Will miss you darling. xxx

Might even get some cake as well. Gemma also due for yearly check-up tomorrow and be good to get recent op site checked out too. Love her and Stan to bits. Anna/Spannerxxx

Message from Tim - Gemma's human
"Gemma is well on the mend following her recent op. Starting to get her bounce back. At moment looks like she is in a wet t-shirt competition. Also wrecked one of Sue's nighties - on well she is worth it. She and Stanley have been practising on the ramp for the car which Dad finally bought. Gemma doing great on it, Stan slowly but surely.
Love to all greys and humans. xx"

Hi All
Good news from the New Forest. Gemma is going to be 11 on Sunday 11th June, sharing her birthday with the lovely Sue (her sane human!!!). She is a little whirlwind (when she is allowed after recent injury) and thinks she is getting younger each year. She has been putting up with us now for 4 years 8 months. It has flown by. Must not forget Stanley (the Gent) who has been with us for 4 years 2 months. Tim thinks they keep them young and fit!!!

Good luck to all Greys and cares. We hope that all the dogs get their forever sofas/homes soon (don't forget as Lady Victoria always says they are all unique). Lots of love Tim, Sue, Anna (Spanner) and obviously the greys Gemma & Stanley. Axx

Hi All, Greys & Humans,
Message from Stanley & I in the New Forest.

We were up for the Solihull Show, which was great. Nice to see lots of us fabulous greys and their humans.
I have now been with my humans for 4 years today - Hip Hip Hurray. I entered the 10 year old class - runner up shall we say since there were only 2 entrants. Stanley has now been with us for 3.5 years. He entered the 6/7 year olds and came 4 out of 6.
Love to all. Hoping you greys looking for home don't have to wait long as so nice having your own sofa. Take care. xxx

Stanley & I just want to say Happy Birthday to Tim our human - hoping for some cake but he might be mean with it. We got Anna into trouble again on Sunday - well I did - caught tail and flicked blood everywhere. 3 humans dabbing the floor and walls whilst I lay on my bed with a sock on my tail.
Love to all greys and humans. Gemma & Stanley (& Anna/Spanner our computer human). xx

Your lovely Gemma is our Flossie's sister, we rehomed Icemaid Mindy and its Flossie's (Icemaid Flo) birthday also on the 11th June.
Mindy was a most lovely of ladies, we just went to the trust to see her daughter when she came into the trust and took her home. Although they do not look alike, Flossie being Fawn. Her trainer is a lovely man and spoken to him in the past.
Have a great day Gemma and we will at this end with our Flossie.

Wishing Gemma a Happy Birthday for tomorrow as will be off celebrating her birthday and of course her human Sue's too. Gemma will be 9 tomorrow and Sue is 21 again!!! It wont be long before she has the tissue out of my pocket trying to see if there are treats there. She knows me well as does Stanley - I never arrive without. Hopefully enough cake for all 2 greys and 6 humans. Annaxxx

She is a card. Loves her cuddles and strokes and if you stop you get nudged. Continually after treats - you'd think she was starving. Just about gets her nose in my pockets - knows me well though as generally there are treats although she did end up with a tissue the other day. Ax

Morning all - message from Gemma & Stanley and their human dad - Tim (not computerised so Spanner here) - from the New Forest.
'Gemma (Monkspath Munchy) has been with us for 2 years this weekend and Stanley 18 months - hip hip hooray!!!
We have been up for the Solihull Show and had B&B at Auntie Mary's & Uncle Martin's in Hall Green. It was a great show. Gemma entered +8 yr girls but didn't win - shame. Stanley went in 5+ boys (as he is 6 today) and came joint 5th.
It is great to have them to after (most of the time). Good luck to all other Grey carers and good luck to all Greys needing their forever homes. LOL from Gemma, Stanley, Tim & Sue xx'

Tuesday 02 Apr 10:02

Hi All.
Dad has asked me to put a message on - hopefully Gemma is getting a friend. Apparently has been taking to Ruth about a female grey and possibly homing shortly.
Otherwise Gemma ok stubbed on of her back toenails which is healing slowly. She looks lovely with a sock and bag on for walkies. New fashion accessory.
Still getting me into trouble as she knows I will give her treats.
I now have another rescued another cat so getting short of treats.
Also does anyone know of any local Bed & Breakfasts to kennels for Mum & Dad as when they have 2 greys it will be difficult for them to come up to Birmingham together especially with 2 dogs.

Gemma doing fine. Perhaps getting a companion, they are talking about it. Gemma still getting me into trouble as she knows I am a softie and will give her treats. It's the eyes!!! Just as bad with my cat Gracie.
Have just read about Belle and Boo and shocked that people still think they can do this to beautiful creatures.

Tuesday 29 Jan 11:52

Just a Bertie update!! We have now had bertie for 8 months, the love and pleasure he has given us is amazing, after we lost our last dog Charlie at 14 we just never thought that we would feel the same about another dog but then Bertie came along and I think that he must have been sent to us by Charlie !!
He is developing his own personality which is really lovely and funny to see, the look of amazement at seeing new things, animals and food, his little eyes nearly pop ou of his head with excitement and we are still greeted each morning with a total boby shake of tail wagging joy!!
Bertie loved the snow but slipped whilst running around smashing the bones in one of his toes, sadly last week he had to have it amputated, which he was a really brave boy for unlike me !!!!
So at the moment we are all at taking it easy, Bertie is sitting at my side as I write this , he really is a wonderful boy !! Thankyou ruth and all the helpers for making this all possible for me and many many others xx

Absolutely lovely. Always comes to me - probably because I will give her a treat unless dinner time. Always sniffing around my pockets when I visit Mum & Dad. She takes no notice of what is going on around her. She perhaps needs a good run but Dad still trying to find somewhere for her to. Dad still showing off her racing CD to whoever will sit for a few minuts to watch.

But she was lovely & the best, so is Flojo, & I beleive her siblings take after her. Mindy had 17 pups some have preceded her, but there is Beritie & others with Gemma who show her lovely nature.
