So happy for the gorgeous Roxy, she's gone to a home with a greyhound companion so here's hoping that all goes well for them and they settle with each other. Looks good though, as they had a short walk together and were fine in the run. It's just what this fabulous girl needs, a close doggy friend for her to look up to. Sending best wishes to everyone. xxx

Roxy is so happy that her pal Motte has been rehomed - and thinks she's ready to go to her new forever home now too! What an intelligent, obedient little bundle of fun & energy this girl is, her personality is really shining through now and I just adore the way she brings toys to you to play with her. She also likes her quiet times, when she curls up in her basket and just enjoys her own company for a while. We can bring her to the kennels at any time if anybody would like to see her, in the meantime it's a joy having her here and we love her to bits, but just hope that she can go to a loving new home soon. xx

This little girl just loves to see people. My sister brought her 2 grandchildren to visit today and Roxy's tail wagged so much I thought it was going to fall off!!! She adored the children (who are 9 & 7 and were very well behaved and sensible around her) dispensing plenty of kisses and then laying down for a tummy rub too!! We really hope that her forever home is just around the corner because she really deserves it. xx

What a lovely day today has been. I am going to rename this beautiful little girl Miss Trotter because when we're out on our walk she trots along just like a horse doing dressage (very reminiscent of the lovely Jak), such an amazing gait, she looks gorgeous. This morning we have been out visiting, followed by a trip to Pets At Home (what a brilliant device that Ancol car harness is) where Roxy delighted everyone with her waggy tailed greetings and total disregard for the bunnies and guinea pigs hopping around inside the pens. Back home in the lovely sunshine we stayed outside for ages playing. When you throw a toy for her she races off, picks it up and actually brings it back for you to do all over again - amazing! She delighted in racing round the garden and playing then, when she'd had enough, just sat on the lawn patiently whilst we did a bit of DIY on the garden gate. Now she is flat out in her basket after such a hectic time. It did our hearts good to see the change in her, what a bright, lively bundle of fun this beautiful little girl is.xx

Roxy is a very clever little girl and will communicate her needs (almost talking sometimes) .This morning she only ate half her breakfast then came to me squeeked and yawed, having gained my attention she trotted to the back door, turned looked at me and the stood quietly waiting. I took her out, and of course she duly had a quick sniff for the right spot, I then needed a large poo! bag. When she got back indoors she carried on with her breakfast.
This little girl is a delight to share our home with and became part of the family almost within hours of her arrival,{my father-in-law adores her}.She has slept through both nights with no disturbance, also [like Dale did] she lays in her basket when nothing exciting is going on.All in all Roxy is a very well behaved intelligent little girl who deserves to be understood and given a kind and loving home.

Hello
My name is sally and I was Roxys previous owner -- I am so so so sad to read that roxy has been so stressed -- The decision I made to rehome her was the hardest of my life - I love her and will for the rest of my life.
Things have happened in my life that I never ever wanted and I know that what I have done is for the best for roxy --
I hope that very very soon she is settled and loved as we loved her.

xxxxxx

We have just spent a second good night with the lovely Roxy. As you would expect from a little girl that's used to a home environment, she is absolutely no trouble whatsoever. Clean, a dab hand at the stairs, she is just a little jumpy at odd noises still - such as the trains whizzing past outside! Obviously she knows her name and is very obedient when told something, and so affectionate and happy to see you. She has started to play with the toys too, and loves the squeaky bone. Understandably, she's still in need of the company and reassurance of another presence near her while she gets used to the new situation she finds herself in, but I'm sure we can destress her and build her self confidence again, and she'll make a fabulous companion. xx

I was a little worried when we brought home the beautiful Roxy for fostering (who incidentally has the most amazing ridge of hair from between her ears down to the nape of her neck, just like a Rhodesian Ridgeback) as she has been seperated from her life long friend Motte. However, she appears to have settled into our home really well. She is in fact an absolute treasure and I feel it won't be long before she is adopted and she has a happy ending to her story.

We took the beautiful Roxy to the Funday today. The poor little girl is so stressed at the moment and she really isn't happy, so we decided to bring her home with us for a short spell of fostering. After the usual bout of sniffing everything in sight, she ate her supper beautifully. After an hour and a half of being here she obviously feels happier and more secure as she is now absolutely spark out fast asleep in her basket! There is an absolute sweetheart in her just waiting to emerge again when she is settled somewhere.

I do find it hard hearing about these returned dogs,my dogs r like my children and I wouldn't take my children into care if my marriage broke down so why can't the dogs have a care arrangement, but I suppose they may have thought about that and felt this was the best option
