So sad for you. We feel such pain when we loose a beautiful Grey.I always console myself with this saying I read from a dog rescue abroad "When I die let it be as a pet and loved", I think that is what all we Hound owners give to them when we re-home a Grey and Wilf I know was a well loved pet. It's with great sadness and heartache we lost our wilf today.he died in his mom's arms.we are totally heartbroken x

thanks michelle and bertie,wilf slept tll 7.15 this morning ! looks like flicka has worked his magic on him,fingers crossed for the rest of the week.flicka is doing well with the cats,so far so good because we would love to give him a home x

Oh gosh choc you cannot get up in the middle of the night forever !!! youll both be exhausted before long !! there are so many other people with a lot more experience and knoledge than me, but I had similar with Bertie who is now managing to sleep through until 7 - 7.30 !!! so here are a few things we did !! ; we always put him in a fleece as a comfort thing, also we have a baby monitor ( dont laugh ) but sometimes he gets up and calls for us, we were never sure was it for a wee or was he saying 'where are you' so now we listern for a minute or so before we get up and more often than not he settles back down !! also having Blade has helped as he prefers a lie in in the mornings !! its really difficult but you dont want it to become a habbit thing with Wilf !! perhaps he maybe better having company through the night with Flika, I wish you all the best & I am sure other people will have some suggestions ! :(

Wilf update, just to let everyone know Wilf has settled in brilliantly, he and us couldn't be more happier. He has got such a character and makes us laugh every day. He has claimed all the sofas and loves to snuggle at the end of our bed! He is behaving well towards his cat brother and sisters, I think it will take time before the cats trust him, but Rome wasn't built in a day. We are so glad we have him, he is well and truly one of our family now :)

Took our Wilf home today, he has been brilliant with his cat brother and sisters. He's just had a long walk and didn't pull at all, he's so good on the lead. Now he's fast asleep on his new bed. Well done Wilf, your such a good boy xox

My special boy has been chosen yeah!! I will miss him like mad, but after meeting his new mum I know he will be loved. He was such a good boy at Melbicks tonight, he loved all the attention until it was time to lie down and sleep!

Me and Rebekah met Wilf at Melbicks today, he's stole our hearts already, can't wait to welcome him to our family xox

Hopefully going to see him at the garden centre on thursday to reserve wilf :)

Wilf update. Just had a lovely walk with Wilf, strong on lead at first but after a few minutes was walking beautifully by my side, he is now flat out on his bed! He is becoming less boisterous each day, I think he needs routine and the company of other dogs and he's happy. Hasn't reacted to the cats, rabbit or chickens or other breeds. Gorgeous boy. He will be at Melbicks garden centre on Thursday 17th Oct from 3.30 pm showing how wonderful he is.

Wilf is fast asleep on his bed after eating all his dinner and lots of wees in the garden, he is settling very well, I think he thrives on the company of other Greys, Dingos mom watch this space! He such a gorgeous boy and once he is back into a normal routine I think he will be great. X

Unfortunately Wilf has been returned today. Sadly he is too boisterous still for his elderly owner. The family are really upset at having to make this decision.

Wilf spent his first night in his new home with dad last night and has made himself right at home. Have a feeling he's going to be spoilt rotten x

Wilf had his blood pressure checked yesterday and it is now normal, so his medication is working, just one more blood test to go and hopefully he should be off to his new home next weekend.

It has been discovered that poor old Wilf has a problem with his kidneys and high blood pressure so is now undergoing treatment, for the time being he is going to stay at our house until we know exactly what lies ahead. He remains a happy boy and to look at him you wouldnt know he was a poorly boy.

What a great idea bringing him to kennels Gill cos guess what he has found himself a lovely new dad.Brilliant news.

I have kept an eye on Wilf at the kennels via the cameras now installed and he has had a very settled night. As Jess says, he was amazing with Cooper the rabbit - how could anyone not fall in love with this fella?

Wilf met a very big rabbit named Cooper today, he was fine with it. The rabbit was running round the room and he took no notice at all! Now the lovely Wilf is cat friendly, rabbit friendly, other breed friendly, greyhound friendly and of course people friendly! He is perfect xxx ps he's also a very big cuddle monster xxx

Have left Wilf at the kennels for the weekend in the hope that someone will fall in love with him, I am missing him very much but know that he has a better chance finding a home being at the kennels rather than lying on my sofa. He is such a good boy and has come on leaps and bounds whilst with us, please please someone choose him very soon so I can stop feeling guilty!!

Can we have a new picture please the ones we have don't do him justice- he is far more handsome in real life and looks much better since he has been in foster care.

Wilf will be at the kennels tomorrow hoping to catch someone's eye!

Wilf was an absolute star at Webbs today - somebody somewhere is missing out on having this beautiful boy as part of their family!

Saw Wilf at Webbs Garden Centre ,and he seemed a lovely friendly placid dog. We just need to sort a home check before we get too attached to the idea of having a dog.Will try to ring to arrange a visit the Trust tomorrow.

Please please please someone choose this gorgeous boy soon He is sooooo loving and has so much to give, gets on so well with my greys and my little non grey, no problems with my cats. He is curled up at my side as I type absolutely adorable and such a bundle of fun.

Wilf continues to be a little poppet and is more loving as each day passes. I do hope the lovely people who I spoke to yesterday will give you a chance, you know who you are!!

Wilf is one of the most loving dogs I have had the pleasure of meeting, he can be a little bouncy at first, hes just really happy to see you,but soon settles. He is great with other breeds and is ok with my cats, although the chickens are fun! He will be an asset to any home.

Poor Wilf, so sad to hear. I've already given my cuddle for the day but I promise you can have mine tomorrow. I bet a permanent sofa is just around the corner xxx

sadly due to circumstances the family could not keep Wilf. To try and help the situation we have had Wilf in a foster home for just over 4 weeks but sadly the family have not responded to our calls and messages. It is time to find him a new home.
