Cruft's 2009 - Thursday to Sunday.

Sunday 08 Mar 2009

by PamD

Updated: Sunday 19 Jul

Cruft's 2009 Thursday 5th March to Sunday 8th March inclusive Visit Perry Barr Greyhound Trust's stand at the NEC expertly designed by our very own Ruby. Hall 4 Stand 162.

Come and meet our volunteers with their Greys and find out what a delightful experience it is to live with a Greyhound. Perry Barr’s volunteers with their greys will also be manning Head Office's Stand in Hall 1 Stand 10.

We will have greyhound coats and merchandise for sale. Our popular raffle is back again over the 4 days of Cruft’s and the winning ticket will be drawn on our stand between 6.0pm and 7.0pm on the last day. The winner will be announced on our Web Site and the Dyson Vacuum Cleaner prize will be posted free of charge if necessary. The Animal Dyson Vacuum Cleaner has been donated by Fivelands Veterinary Centre, who do most of the veterinary work at our kennels, and are always there for us.

'Adopt a Greyhound from Daybreaks Kennels and join one big happy family' We pride ourselves for our after care service. We have a dedicated team of experienced volunteers who will be at the end of a phone for advice whilst your greyhound settles in to its new home. Our Daybreaks Kennels of Solihull are about 10 minutes drive from the NEC. Pop along for a visit to see the greyhounds available for homing there.

NEW FOR 2009 'PERRY'S KIDS CLUB' Come along to our stand and find out about our 'Kids Club' Henrietta (Henri )

Our Kids Club Co Ordinator will be on our stand at the following times: Thursday and Friday 10.0am - 2.30pm, Saturday and Sunday from 11.00am. This is new for 2009 and is for children mad about dogs (greys in particular). As a member of 'Perry's' club you will receive a monthly magazine, full of stories, puzzles, competitions, lots of fascinating facts about greyhounds and events that you can attend, etc etc. All this for only £10 per year. You can join here on our stand and meet 'Henri' who will be looking after 'Perry' and his club. During the four days of Cruft’s there will  a 'kids' competition and of course a free Perry's Kids Club Magazine for those interested in joining 'Perry's' club.

10 months ago we didnt think about a grey as a pet but after meeting some at a roadshow, almost a year ago, we now have 2. Come along to Crufts and meet Susie and Louis and the family on Saturday 7th! Thanks to all at Daybreaks and support team for introducing us to our hounds, and for all the help and advise settling them in. Dave and Co
