    I’m Homed

We are saying goodbye to our three French students Tifenn, Manuella and Lauraline today who have been with us since the 28th May. They are pictured with Roy and Saddle in the sand run who they love playing with. They have been a pleasure to have and we wish them well. I am off to the vets this morning with Sky to have her bloods re-checked following her bleed a few weeks ago. I did her home visit last Wednesday evening and she is going to live on a canal boat with a cat and is off to her home next week. Yesterday I met Seren's new owners when they came to take her for a walk and we signed all the paperwork in preparation for her going off to her new home on Saturday - exciting!!! I am appealing for anyone with a drill and a couple of hours spare!!!!!! I have purchased angled brackets to add to each post in the sand run to increase the security for the dogs (so we have no escapees over the 6 foot fence (we have had one!!!) so if you can help, please give me a call ASAP!!!! Many thanks - Ruth 0121 782 7702.

I am happy tonight as Skip has finally had a wee and a poo! Not been since yesterday morning before his operation and I was getting worried! 🙂 He has spent most of the last 24 hours asleep! That's my boy! Xxx

Lyra has been a really good girl today except for when she managed to find her favourite toy I had hidden! All I saw was her racing down the garden as fast as she could leaving one bandage all alone on the lawn just like Cinderella's glass slipper! :)) Xxx

Sully was really good with my collie Louis in the kitchen today. Think Louis was a little less impressed with Sully's overenthusiastic tail wagging! Such a happy lad! x

Hey what about an "eat off" with Nick and our Finn as a fund raiser lol I think Nick might need to train up to Finn's level of gluttony though. I sometimes think he wouldn't recognize my face as he only ever looks at my hands to see if I have anything in them for him to eat ! Even when he is wagging his tail at me as I come into the room my hands are the focus of his eyes. Last week he had his dinner (or two) and then I found him in the garden crunching up a coconut shell the squirrel had dropped with great joy, no doubt his version of a "wafer thin mint" lol

    I’m Homed

I have been already doing some training with naughty pants Nick this morning.... he is one heck of a food monster and even with a slow feeder bowl he is an animal! So he has joined me in the kitchen this morning and to start with, he constantly had his paws up on the counters - well who wouldn't?! It was so exciting for him!!! It turned into an 'all-you-can-eat' breakfast - as his bowl has emptied, it was re-filled.... and then, eventually he just stood and looked at me! For those Monty Python fans out there - 'wafer thin mint' springs to mind!!!! Yesterday evening, I was invited over to view a kitchen that is being updated and I am excited to say, it will be installed into our kitchen at Daybreaks in the next few months - we will be going up in the world with fabulous updated worktops, cupboards etc etc! It was a good end to a very sad day because of various reasons. Right, it's time for a coffee.......

Ah Lyra, so uncomfortable for you. We send you hugs and hope that you are better soon. Somehow, on past performance, I don’t think you will keep the bandages on long 🙂 lots of love from Carol and Moe xxxx
