Couldn't take Mandy far today (too hot). She was initially quite apprehensive but after a few minutes she was very happy for me to stroke her. I think that once she has got used to the kennels her character will emerge and she will be a little star. xxx

Took Petal out to the sand run briefly today (it was hot so we tried to stay in the shady bit). She is totally adorable very loving and she knows her name because when I called her to me she came first time. Brilliant xxxx

Met little Sky's lovely new mum and dad today just before they took her off to her new home . She's such a gorgeous petite little girl who I'm sure will settle and enjoy her retirement. Lots of love xxx

Something werid is going on. My family were jumping up and down at a screen where people were kicking a ball into a strange looking net 6 times. They say it’s a ‘goal’. Apparently I should be happy. No idea why that is so amusing. Barney Xx

Hoping that Seren settled well last night and had a lovely day today. I wanted to say a huge ginormous thank you to her new family for letting Seren join their family but also to everyone at Daybreaks who took such wonderful care of our gorgeous girl whilst she was with you awaiting her new family, for being so understanding of our situation and for finding her such a lovely family to join. I do not know what we would have done with out you all. I ever Seren's new family are visiting Weston super Mare with her, it would be lovely if you would let us know please so that we could grab a cuddle from her.Xx

Well i'vehad a couple of interesting days! On Friday we went to a new place for my walk, it had a big building in the centre with lots of upright stones with writing round it. At first mom and TC kept looking at a piece of paper and barely walked anywhere at all, seemed like we were going round in circles. They got very excited when the found a bit without any stone, aparently my great grandpop is there. I didn't spot him though, think they need their eyes tested. After that I got a proper walk. On Saturday mom took me to Melbicks. I saw Luna, Berry, Holly, Izzy and Roy. Lots of people gave me fuss and I got an Uncle Paul cuddle - I love those. Today we got in the car to go to Lichfield and see a wall. TC drove the wrong way, mom sorted him out and we arrived in a pretty village. Walking a short way where I saw a real live bunzie, we found the wall! Whoever had built it hadn't finished it, I really hope it's not the same builders who are building on the lumpy bit of land! I had a lovely walk with long grass to boing in and then we went into a museum, I wasn't allowed in but the lady let me so to thank her I let her stroke me. Wonder what next week will bring. Lubs Florence xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Yesterday was nuts - and that is putting it politely!!! It was great to see Kate back and throw her back in at the deep end! I left at 2pm to head to Rugby, firstly to pick up some bottles for our open day drinks hamper, then onto destination 2 to check on Diddy and collect some donations for car booting, then destination 3 to check on Ray/Jay who was homed last week. We took Foxy with us and we came back with a van full of goodies. Today has been very quiet... think it might be something to do with the football!!!! I am nursing a poorly Nick who developed a limp this morning and a swelling has appeared on the back of his wrist. He is extremely uncomfortable and crying out but I am anxious not to whip him off to the emergency vets due to the cost..... Agggghhhhh :-((((

This pretty little lady came to Elmdon Park with me today. She jumped in the car with no problems and settled quickly. Once in the park, she was very interested in everything going on around her. It is a privilege to give these wonderful hounds their first experiences of the big wide world . She trotted happily for an hour and would have liked to continue but it was getting a bit too warm!! She's an extremely happy girl and very easy to spend time with. She's been waiting a while for her forever home now, but would make a great addition to any family xx
