Barney is in training because got fed up of having my biscuits stolen and eating my dinner with a nose in it. It is going to be a long process because he goes a little deaf when I am saying no. He now knows who’s in charge and it’s not me.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

A really busy day today! The Pet Blood Bank came for the day to take donations from the kennel dogs and pet dogs. Well done to Horse, Petal, Sully and Jingle who all became blood donors. They have a bandana, collar tag and certificate to take with them when they go off to their forever homes. Xx It was great to see lots of previous Daybreaks residents come in to help the cause too. Welcome to new donors including the lovely Ashley and Carla. I think there were sixteen donations today which is brilliant. Every donation taken can help save the life of up to four other dogs. My lad Fletcher gave blood for the 5th time today and got a special gift and an extra helping of Chappie! 🙂 If you are interested in your Greyhound becoming a Blood donor please contact the Pet Blood Bank on 01509 232 222 Xxx

Well whats happened recently? Not a lot. Had a bad stomach for a week or two but it has cleared and now great again. Sisters last exam tomorrow which is good, she can have a break. Well that’s what she thinks. I have gone back to being a shredder. Don’t worry Auntie Kate you can hire me when you would like. Finally I pinched daddy’s biscuits and stuck my nose in his dinner. All going great here! Barney Xx

Brandy has decided to help sonny take a lot of cuddly toys outside today and Also learning that he has his own food bowl. I think he has fallen in love with my daughter and vice versa as he follows her everywhere.

Oh yes we have Peggy who has some collie in her too!! She herds me to the kitchen at mealtimes too! Lola never did this and nor does Lena either. They do make us laugh don’t they? All such different personalities in the same shape body! X

Yes TJ I know what you mean, our Grey Jack does exactly the same thing, every time you move your arm/leg or any body part really around walk times he's up like a rocket and will not give you any peace until he has got his way. Our other Grey Dexter doesn't really like going out after around 5pm ish he will let you get his coat/lead on and you think oh he wants to go today, you open the door and he won't budge, we fall for it every time, he must have a right good chuckle to himself about it lol xxx

Does anyone else have a gorgeous grey who thinks they're a sheepdog? Whenever we mention the 'W' (walk) word, Brae sees us as sheep that need rounding up... even if we spell out the 'W' word, she knows what's coming and moves swiftly from room to room herding us all into the hallway ready for collars and leads to be put on. She's the complete opposite to Rosie who just lies watching the scene from her bed, until the key goes in the door then springs into action! Don't ya just love 'em!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful boy Gent, who turns 13 today. Although it says April was his birthday, we had it confirmed that today is his big day. Although he’s getting creaky now, he’s still loves life and is first to the door when it’s walkies-time. Love you so much Mr G, it’s your big day and there are lots of cuddles geading your way ... which as the big boy you are, you’ll hate!!!!
