Jet said thank you shanishoo! Yes he was he had steak and sausages for tea then whilst we were paying attention went into the utility and to his shelf and found his 4 packets of treats that were supposed to be his birthday presents, took them all upstairs and ripped them all open and scoffed the lot! You should see the state of our landing all you can see is wrappers! Xxx

Had the pleasure of taking this boy for a walk on Saturday and it was a real treat. Sully is a handsome big boy and has a delightful balance of enthusiasm and good manners.

    I’m Homed

Petal is a sweet little girl. I can't understand why she isn't in a home of her own. She and Sid are sharing a kennel at present and get on so well. She walks very well on the lead and although she reacted to the barking labradors in the lane, she stopped immediately when told to 'leave it'. What a good girl. xx

Sid is a gorgeous big boy with lots of licks. He can be quite strong on the lead but I think that's because he wants to see the next new thing. He is super friendly and, likes lots of fuss. xx

Just got home from walkies at the kennels. Brandy walks really well on the lead, he is delighted to see everyone especially, if they have time to give him a cuddle and when we left he was looking quite comfy in his bed. He is a lovely dog. xx

  • Finlay (Tony)

    I’m Homed

Well Finlay has gone up a hole on his collar and is now also known as Fat Neck Finlay! We nearly had an emergency at feeding time, he was hoovering his Burns dinner down so fast and had so much in his throat at one time he started choking. Now although I was a nurse I don't fancy doing a Heinrich maneuver on a Greyhound and so was relieved when after a rub of his throat he coughed it all up and then promptly eat it again ! It made Nina who was delicately eating hers jump and she coughed hers up as well, but no worries Finn rushed and ate up her regurgitation to. !!! Oh come on it's not that bad, it saved me clearing up LOL

    I’m Homed

What absolutely glorious weather today!!! The French students continued their fabulous work with Brandy - I am sure they will go back with great stories about how they removed black heads from a greyhounds underside!!!!! Photos have been added!!! Susie went for a walk this morning with the volunteers and then spent the afternoon at mine and each time we popped down to peak through the window to see what she was up to..... she was checking the back of her eyelids! She is such a chilled out lass - I still can't believe how different she was to the personality she displayed at the kennels. I will add photos of her also - she is healing well and soooo good!

    I’m Homed

Apologies for no update yesterday - it was a busy day and yesterday evening was taken up with rehearsals for our show in November! I was over the moon to have Rory and Sky reserved and to see Molly off to her new home. Our French Students have been working well with all the dogs and undertake the health checks, stitch removals and even managed to clip Foxy's nails!!!! I still have Susie at home with me and what a dream she is! She is totally different to how she is at the kennels - quiet, calm, relaxed and just such a joy to have. She is healing well and will have her stitches removed the end of next week. If you think you would like to foster her until she is healed, or would consider giving this amazing little girl a home - you won't regret it! Give the kennels a call.... what are you waiting for?! Ruth x
