Saddle
I’m Homed
I spent an hour in Elmdon Park with Saddle today. We walked past big and small dogs with no reaction. He had a really good look but didn't lunge or whine to get to them. I really think the key with him is to just walk past briskly and not give him a chance to get over excited about greeting another dog. We also sat for 5 minutes at the end of the walk but he did start getting a bit agitated then with dogs going past. Like I say, I think it is best to keep him moving . He was great once again getting in and out of the car. He's a lovely boy and with continued practice will get used to the big wide world.

What a pleasure it was today to walk through Birmingham city centre with other volunteers from Solihull and Hall Green. It was the lift I needed after losing my darling Bobby on Wednesday.

Well we've had Nifty now for 6 months. I cannot believe how fast its gone. Thanks Daybreaks for letting us have such a wonderful hound. He's still quite popular with everyone there when he goes back to visit. Xx

Well today some of our volunteers and dogs joined Hall Green Branch and walked in a Greyhound Parade in Birmingham City Centre on behalf of "Greyhound Day" .. Poor Winny you where no doubt keeping an eye on a stranger in your garden, our two will not be convinced that the window cleaner is not a burglar lol so I always draw the curtains when he comes. It's hard for them getting used to a new life and new rules and off course lots of new people in everyday life that can be a bit frightening to a shy little girl. However it is best to return her for everyone's sake and I am sure she will soon find that forever home. Good luck sweetie I am sure you will get lots of cuddles off the fab Daybreaks crew.
