Well Finlay is officially adopted, and we are are officially spectacularly FFPs. We all knew it would happen and nobody likes to fail, but for some strange reason I feel this is a great thing to fail at LOL. Fin would like to say a big thank you to Auntie Ruth for getting on her soapbox and pleading his case, the only thing he was a bit upset about was her saying it was partly his age that caused his long wait and being black, everyone knows black is beautiful and age is just a number (ask his new mom, she is 25 in her head, but not on her pension book !!!) . Anyway you did good Ruth and we are glad we fell for your plea. Finlay hopes you wrote into the adoption agreement that food was to be unlimited and on demand, if so his life is complete! When we got back home with him he jumped out of the car and stood on the front doorstep wagging his tail to be let in. He knew he was home for good. Bless him

I have just learnt how to get a ball and bring it back. I got a shocked look off my mum and sister when I suddenly picked up a ball and gave it to them. There was an even bigger look when I actually went after it when they threw it! Barney Xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

We had a lot of help today so everyone got to go out for nice long walks. Brandy enjoyed a lovely grooming session with Clive one of our volunteers this morning. Brandy adored all the extra attention and would have happily stayed with Clive all day. He just loves company. Xx Sky is still a nervous little girl, but she ate better today. 🙂 Declan came in today so we had no trouble taking Horsey out for his walks! :)) Our French students carried out health checks on some of the dogs this afternoon. Rory thought it was great to have three lovely young ladies giving him all their attention! :)) Thanks to everyone for their help today. Xxx

Had the pleasure of walking Tiny twice today! She's absolutely brilliant on the lead, she walked happily by my side and seemed to enjoy the sights and smells going on around her. She's an adorable girl, hope she gets her sofa very soon! xx

Thank you so much for letting me know. I'm glad she was a good girl at the foster home, I knew she would be, she is such a good girl. Please give her a huge cuddle from me. I'm sure whoever meets her first from those that have enquired with fall head over heels for her and if they choose to let Seren join their family, they will have gained a true gem who will fill their lives with happiness.x

You know me, I like them to feel like they've had a good day out. Lol. Rory was great in the house and garden with Tinker and Sully. He picked up and carried around a variety of squeaky toys, had a wee in the garden, spotted the guineapigs in their cage and thought he'd won the lottery but as soon as I said no and distracted him he came to me and left them alone straight away. He's a clever boy and would soon get to grips with family life I'm sure. Xxx good luck Rory.

Hi Lorraine, Seren will be staying at the kennels for a while. We have had several enquiries about her, so it's easier for people to meet her if she is at the kennels. She has a lovely kennel mate to keep company and is happy and relaxed. She was a really good girl in her foster home. 🙂 Xxx

Tiny arrived at the kennels this morning. Her trainer says she is great with children and gets on well with other dogs. She met two young children this afternoon and was very gentle with them. She is a very sweet little girl. Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

We had a new arrival this morning. A very pretty girl called Tiny. She is a happy girl and so friendly. Bella gave her a bath, she had a spot of lunch and then settled into her kennel for a snooze. 🙂 Brilliant to see Ashley again today. He was such a good boy while waiting for his new Mom and Dad to sign his adoption paperwork. 🙂 Thanks again to Myra and Alan for giving him a lovely new home. Xx We have three French students helping at the kennels for the next four weeks. It was their first day today. Ruth got them involved with helping with nail cutting and bathings this morning and this afternoon they helped with the walks and feeding. Many thanks to Bella for looking after them and trying out her French....! 🙂 Thank you to everyone who came in on a Bank Holiday to help look after our super boys and girls. Xxx
