Thank you all for your kind words, it really means a lot. Lovely Ruth took the time this morning to email me to let me know that Seren had a settled night and a lovely run this morning which I thought was really nice of her as I know her days are filled to the brim already. It was also great to hear that she'd had a lovely day in the office cuddling up with Paddy, she does love a cuddle. The house hasn't been the same today and I know that Daisy has felt it too as she has been very quiet today. I've been recommended an alternative vet who will look further into Daisy's problems and they have lots of the larger investigative equipment on site so we will hopefully start to get some answers as to how best to help Daisy. Thank you so much to everyone at Daybreaks for taking such wonderful care of our girl, you are all amazing and I cannot thank you enough.x

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

A busy day....with lots of help we made good time with feeding and cleaning. 🙂 Even had time for tea (hot chocolate for me!) before walks! Sue popped in with her gorgeous Deerhound Lizzie. Our first walkers were just returning to the kennels, so we took the opportunity to do a little meet and greet with Lizzie. She is such a calm and gentle girl, met all our residents one by one. They were all great with her with only Petal reacting. She was quite apprehensive, but with some help from Ruth was soon responding well. :)) Brandy has been quite stressed since his arrival with us. We have paired him up with Petal tonight to see if having the company of a pretty girl will help him. 🙂 A lovely couple came to meet the dogs this afternoon and fell in love with Stella. 🙂 Such brilliant news for her! She is a tremendous little girl. :)) Sending big hugs to Foxy. We all know how it feels when our babies are not well. Xxx Thanks to everyone who helped out today. Sara and Louis came in again 🙂 Lyra sends her apologies for disembowelling Louis's new toy!! Xxx

Ruth, so sorry to hear Foxy is unwell and pray that he receives all the care he needs to make a recovery. The same goes for you my love, you really must rest! To Seren - you are loved and a new forever sofa will come soon. To your mom, I hope the cause of Daisy's aggression can be found and sorted. To everyone who has lost their special furry friend recently, you gave them all the love in the world and they gave it back to you. You are the heroes of greyhound rescue along with all the staff and volunteers at Daybreaks. Xxx

Lorrainewsm, so sorry for you but all I can say is clearly what a responsible, wonderful dog owner you are. You've clearly had to make a horrendously heart breaking decision but how brave and like I say, responsible decision you have made. Be proud of yourself as you're helping all concerned and you know daybreaks will sort little seren so you can sort daisy. My heart goes out to you xxx

patch has been with us for 6 years on friday... He recently was not well however he has picked up and gaining weight. He is a truly gentle giant and never gets angry... we love him to bits.. xxx patch would like to say a Big happy Birthday to Ruth for saturday.. xx

An old favourite girl of mine Jingle, I was sad to see her returning but sometimes this has to be and it must have been very difficult for her family to return her and I feel sorry for them. Paddy was pleased to see her at Daybreaks today and they shared the office bed for quite some time today. Please please someone take her home, she's a super cute little dot who wants to love and be loved by all. The sad look in her eyes when Paddy had to go home said it all xx

How absolutely heart breaking for all concerned. I do hope someone will be able to help Daisy as it can't be a happy situation for her either. I can fully understand why you wouldn't try to rehome Daisy and the other alternative is hard to make. I hope that Seren's new family will want to keep in touch so you know how she is getting on. Best wishes to all of you xx
