Happy 8th birthday to my gorgeous black hound Max, still acts like a puppy, loves his toys and still spins round sending rugs flying. Yes it will be fish and chips tonight as is tradition on birthdays and gotcha days or maybe fishcakes and potatoes. Xx

A hug for Winny tonight. She is a quiet girl who likes her own company, but does enjoy a cuddle or two! She walks lovely on the lead and does have the most beautiful eyes. Xxx

Um black greyhounds? Well Florence our beautiful, gorgeous girl is ........ BLACK. She attracts a fan club wherever she goes, has grown in confidence and brings joy to our lives. Why did we choose a black hound? We didn't. We let the hound choose us. I knew it was Florence the minute I saw her picture and so it was. We didn't mind which colour or gender, just the right fur baby for our family! So don't over look any hound and don't pick you new buddy just because of the way it looks. As the say "don't judge a book by its cover". xxx

Lovely walk with this super happy girl today. The grass verge had been cut and she was loving all the smells. I had to keep stopping to remove grass and twigs from her muzzle!! She is fantastic in the run with Ashley xx

Ashley was in the kitchen run with the gorgeous Susie today. When I went in to see them they both gave me lots of kisses , what a lovely way to cool off on a warm day. Ashley chatters his teeth when he's having a cuddle, he is very gentle and walked beautifully on a loose lead for the whole walk. He likes to have a look round but is very responsive when you say his name. Cuddle for him tonight xx

Saddle

Just reading all the comments on saddle and would like to add my two pence from my experience with the lovely lad. After walking him and his brother over elmdon Park we noticed a group of dog walkers with a wide range of dogs all shapes and sizes and we asked if we could introduce saddle and Roy to them! Roy was so calm and just enjoyed a sniff but saddle seemed to get over excited and very jumpy at the time it just seemed he was happy but very slightly confused to see them. He would bolt from one dog to another jumping and spinning giving my arms a very good work out but he wasn't aggressive or even showed signs of being anything other than a playful dog. I'm not sure what has been happening since there return as work has got in the way of greyhound fun but thought id add what I observed

We have a lovely black boy - he is greyer now ! We adopted Archive from the track as we knew his racing owner - so we would of he'd him if he was yellow with pink spots, after learning more about greyhounds and how hard homing black hounds is - when we decided to adopt another we decided that we would only adopt a black hound so Breeze joined us- one of the reasons we adopted Jato ? Yes because she is also black. They are all beautiful and we give them coconut oil in their breakfast and they have shiny coats. Xxx

Well it has gone 10pm and I am still, still waiting for my evening stroll. Mom and TC are watching the men hitting balls with sticks on the high level lawn, again! Never could understand balls and sticks! So I'll just wait then......... Lubs Florence xx

Horse

Horse aka Mule is so funny. He is so excited to put on the collar and lead and start to walk. He walks very nicely and then, for no apparent reason, he stops. He doesn't look sad or worried, he just doesn't want to move. This happens whether he's in the lane or on the Coventry Road where his first stop is to look towards the bungalow. Maybe he'd suit someone with a big secure garden. He's a very happy boy who loves a fuss. x

Your great Rosie for working with them. Yes with time and patience they will be fantastic. Maisie and Monty both had strong prey drive. They are now off lead and have many doggy friends large and small. Squirrels however are another matter !!!! Patience is what they need .
